If you want to feel the history of Åland, Guesthouse Enigheten in the island of Föglö is a perfect place. It's only 30 kilometres from Mariehamn, but besides road, there is also a ferry for 30 minutes to get to the Degerby village. Enigheten has been a guesthouse since the 16th century and you can feel it. Visitor rooms are... More

Enigheten is a historic inn near the ferry harbor in Degerby, Föglö. They serve for instance Aland island pancakes and special Föglö-beer. There is an access to the windmill, especially appreciated by kids.

I am only reviewing the cafe as we did not stay here. We stopped here for a lateish lunch on our cycle trip. (Scandinavians seem to think lunch at 1.30 is mega late). Very nice vegetarian pie with interesting sesame seed crust, also nice Åland pancake with jam and cream which I had not tried even though we had been... More

We chose Enigheten for our one-night stay on Foglo as it was in a convenient location at Degerby close to the ferry. We had a comfortable room with a delightful view of the sea and the sunset. There was outdoor space for relaxation and a choice of food was available from the small restaurant.

Stayed here one night during our biketour in Åland Islands. This was the absolutely best B&B in Åland we had over five nights. Old and cozy, like staying at Grandma years ago when i was a kid. The room we had was very cute, even the family with small kids could not ruin our night, not because the walls were... More

If you were to watch a film set in Sweden of Finland in the 1800's it would probably look like this. That can be both good or bad depending on your outlook. Yes, as said previously, there are no en suit toilets or bathrooms. In fact they are in a seperate building. However, the buildings and the rooms ooze character... More

Food in the restaurant is really good! Definitely not to be missed. Restaurant was open until 8 pm this month, maybe later in july? The thing you don't get first from their website http://www.enigheten.ax/ is that none of the rooms has an own toilet or shower. Everybody needs to go to the service house where there's 2 ladies rooms, 2... More

When you are in Degerby, this is a great choice and reasonably priced, breakfast included. This old restored inn has a lot of character. Make sure you eat dinner here as well, excellent food. It's convenient to the ferry as well, about 1 KM away.
