A visit to Clancy's of Glenfarne should be a 'must see' and stay on any visit to the north west of Ireland and especially the beautiful county of Leitrim. The beds were comfy and rooms very clean. A very safe, comfortable and homely place to stay. The hospitality, food, service and craic from Jim and his family and staff was... More

I have just returned from a two nights relaxed and enjoyable stay in this guest house. This truly is a hidden gem with all the comforts of a five star hotel. The owners Jim and Assumpta and all of the staff have truly restored my belief in what I class as Irish hospitality. We all know and talk about Irish... More

A very welcoming restaurant. The staff were friendly. The menu was bigger than expected. We went here twice on our way to and from Westport. The burger was really nice as was the lasagne and chicken dinner.

Hello all I would like to tell you about an evening I had the pleasure of stopping in one of the most friendliest B&B in Ireland I was going to one of the biggest nights for me in a place called the Ballroom of Romance and the place we chose to stay was a B&B called Clancys of Glenfarne on... I arrived on Sunday night with some colleagues. We where all impressed by the welcome we received by Assumpta and Jim. It really felt like a home from home. Our host made us aware that any requirements we needed, we just had to ask. Food made at unsociable hours, lifts to locations, etc. For a Guesthouse I would consider this... More

I have never enjoyed a stay in a guest-house as much as I did in Clancy's. We arrived on Friday evening and were made so welcome by Assumpta. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were "chauffer-driven" to McNean House by Jim and collected afterwards. Great breakfast on Saturday morning, staff very friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

I arrived to stay here in April for 3 days and have to say that from the moment I arrived I was welcomed in the warmest, friendliest manner, as a stranger to these parts this made the best, first impression. The accommodation was very impressive, everything that you would find in a hotel, from tea/coffee making facilities to free wi-fi, the... Booked into the guest house on the 13 March 2013 at about 15:30 hrs and first impressions were good, a clean and well presented place. On settling into the room we noted that the room was very cold (winter time - outside temp around 6degC) with no heat from the radiator. Looking at the guest guide we noted that the... More

Where there is no prior reservation, the room heat is turned on only as it is needed. This room then takes a while to reach the temperature of the rest of the building. Normal economic sense dictates this policy. Once on, it is controlled by thermostat set at 23 degrees. We had other guests staying on this night and they... More
