For the first time ever, I'm 53, I took my mother (82) out for Christmas lunch as our circumstances have changed this year. I was both apprehensive and excited; on one hand worried we would miss our tradition of a large family gathered around the table together, and on the other eager to try something new! Well... all concerns were... More

This is our fifth visit to this lovely, warm ,comfortable and clean Inn, which has friendly staff. The toiletries in the Bathrooms are comparable to a much higher rated Hotel and the rooms have a terrific variety of teas, coffee etc (even a Kit Kat!!). This place is more than a Village Inn, its a lovely place to come back... More

We were going to LEGOLAND and wanted to stay overnight West of Windsor before travelling to LEGOLAND. The Fat Fox Inn came up on a search on one of the internet sites. Was not too sure as the cost was very reasonable for B&B for 4. Arrived greeted warmly and shown to the room. A large double bed with 2... More

We didn't stay for food, it was just a short visit for a drink. the staff are very friendly. It was a lovely local pub and we were made to feel welcome, I would recommend a visit if you are visiting the area. The menu did look delicious for food if you wanted this

Stayed as a family - cosy, warm and comfortable bedrooms and really super supper by the log fire with attentive and friendly service. Obvious that the Chef takes pride in ingredients and preparation using locally sourced produce. Cooked breakfast was excellent too. We will return and will for sure recommend.

The quintessential market town Inn. As we walked in there was a hint of the smell of an autumn fire, a comfy looking wooden settle, and an inviting bar. We were shown to our room which is along a bricked walkway at the end of the large car park. Obviously the distance from the pub will help with noise issues... More

This place was recommended to us by friends because it is part of Sawdays. The staff were exceptional, the rooms were very clean, with fresh towels every day. Unfortunately we did not have any hot water in the shower for the four days we were there!!

Business stay and convenient off the M40. Country pub with parking to the rear. Rooms are in a converted barn in the car park. Comfortable with tv and good shower. Food in Bar is excellent and owners appeared genuinely pleased to see you. Breakfast next morning was excellent. Will stay here again at £89 b&b. Well done!

We had a great stay at the Fat Fox Inn whilst walking a section of the Ridgeway. It is perfectly position in Watlington, less than half a mile from the trail, always good after a long day walking. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. The rooms are in a separate annex behind the pub - we booked the... More

A lovely pub in the heart of this historic and pretty town - though we arrived at rush hour down the road from walking the Ridgeway and it really is gridlock! Nice welcome from Tony and shown to a lovely room - colour scheme giving Eileen ideas for re-staining some furniture at home! We didn't book a table for a... More
