Had lunch here today with a friend. Very long queue to order food, but staff very pleasant. Disappointed with food - burger very overcooked and hard, onion rings under cooked. Friend enjoyed her meal. Food and drink very reasonably priced, but would prefer to pay a little extra for a nicer meal.

3 nights here when working in Bristol area and overall it was a disappointment. Rooms were basic, very tired and sorely in need of a spruce up. I had evening meals pre paid in the attached Hungry Horse. What can I say? This is typical of restaurants in many of these chain pub restaurants. Food is by and large bought... More

Check in was with a tattooed fella in shorts who was trying his best while the manageress was busy in the back on a call. He was very pleasant. She needs some customer service training. Be warned, you will find out when dealing with her, DO NOT ASK FOR ANYTHING, I MEAN ANYTHING THAT YOU HAVE NOT PAID FOR. There... More

We made a booking for 10 some months ago confirmed by email for the 6th stopover on our charity cycle ride from John O'Groats to Land's End. After a difficult ride from Shrewsbury in the morning, we were astounded to find that despite the confirmed booking there were no rooms available. They did find some other accomodation for us which... More

We live round the corner come here every Friday with our boys the play area has gone up to £3 making it no longer a cheap night if you got kids. It used to be you could get served but couldn't get a table now you can get a table but an almost ridiculous queue at the vat for good... More

Stayed here for one night, Hungry horse was ok. Checked into hotel dead on 2 o'clock, we had arrived slightly earlier but was told to come back at 2(not a problem). Rooms did look tired, our room stank of smoke, and there were still dimps on window sill. Sleep disturbed by sounds of cattle. Didnt want to use the shower... More

After reading previous reviews, I must say I was reluctant to be staying at the Bridge. On checking in though, I'm happy to say it's not half as bad as reported. Yes it is undoubtably requires some TLC, various carpet stains, grouting in shower not the cleanest, but clean bedding and a comfortable bed, makes it more than acceptable. Breakfast... More

A cheap enough room rate but as you say, "you pay for what you get". The rooms are not that bad but the bathrooms need some attention to remove the mould from the bath tiles. The hotel management need to look at all areas and pay attention to detail and invest in some maintenance which will raise the profile of... More
