Can't fault the room great shame about the food and service, booked for a week including breakfast first morning we were told we had a booking for room only and had to pay for breakfast which was very poor and grossly overpriced not the standard I expected from Old English Inns. For two days there was no fruit so my... More

stayed 3 nights at the Bridge Inn, at a good offer price of £22.00 a night, including breakfast. which we werent expecting. staff were friendly and helpful, which included the bar staff. food was ok, typical pub (chain pub) food. value for money, if not the best. we did have a problem with the tv in our room on our... Stayed for 1 night as going to a function in the hotel, having read the June reviews I was worried!!! However I was pleasantly surprised. The room was bigger than I expected and the on the whole very clean, the only down fall being a large black damp/mould patch on the ceiling above the window. The bathroom was clean, plenty... More

Room very large, very clean with kettle and tea/coffee etc. Bathroom clean with an abundance of towels and complimentary soaps, fixtures a bit tatty and shower curtain grubby. Plenty of hot water and beds very comfortable. Staff friendly and food and drink nice and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again. No problem with corridors or communal areas, all... Spent one night here in June 2014 and this hotel needs shaking up. The hotel corridors had a musty smell and there was a big hole in the wall with plaster and rubble showing. Don't know how this happened but just covering up with a sheet of plywood would have given a better impression. The hotel was very tired and the... More

Stayed in two rooms overnight 14th June 2014. Even at budget price this is a tired, neglected hotel. Good bed and clean linen a welcome bonus, but the decor in both public areas and bedrooms is woeful. Holes in walls throughout, cracked tiling in bathroom, filthy grouting, sealant round bath done with a spade. Could just go on and on... More

second time I have visited this establishment and returned due to a reasonable previous visit. Booked for two days continuous rooms and was informed that I had to switch one of the rooms on the second day, therefore separating the family. many repairs required to the rooms and passageway (there was a large hole in the plasterboard and staples in... We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly lady who gave us out keys immediately, after getting our key we took a short stroll down the corridor to room 12, anyone who gets given this room request a different one, with a mouldy leaking shower so you could take a bath in the room once your done it's disgusting,... Stayed here for the night before an early flight as it was the cheapest place around. It's not brilliant, mould on the bathroom tiles and stains on the carpet but it did the job and had a comfy bed and good shower. The Hungry Horse pub/restaurant is a bonus.

I booked this as a convenient stopover point between Cornwall and Windsor. Bearing in mind this was a Bank Holiday weekend I only paid £30 for the room. Yes the decor is dated and the corridors tired and scuffed but at this price you don't expect the Ritz so why judge to that standard? My room was clean and comfortable... More
