We have just returned after a 3 night stay at The Anglers Arms. We stayed there last year and enjoyed it so much we decided on another visit and were not disappointed. This is a fantastic place to stay for visiting Northumberland. Add to that lovely and welcoming staff, fabulous food, cask ales and warm fire. This a place not to... More

My Daughter and I stayed two nights at this great Inn. It was warm and cosy, the staff were great as was the food, the bar was first class. I had major car trouble and needed help, the lady of the hotel gave me a lift to a car hire company which was at least 10 miles away. They helped... More

My husband & I visited early Dec, we also took our small dog. Our room was clean, cosy, warm. Could not fault anything at all, bedlinen and towels immaculately clean. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, evening menu extensive and also delicious. All staff (and locals) were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A good position for visiting... This place has had a good reputation for a lot of years, although today was my first and last visit. Myself and two friends went for Sunday lunch, unfortunately we found it rather disappointing. The main complaint being the food. Roast potatoes and roast parsnips were not roasted, but deep fried in dirty oil. Small black specks were visible on... More

As discussed on facebook we apologise that you did not enjoy your lunch with ourselves on Sunday and will take all the points on board and hopefully if you do decide to try us again you will enjoy what we do. More

Stayed at the Anglers with my 2 daughters and husbands together with mother and father in law. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the staff as previously were very friendly and attentive. The food has always been good but this time it was exceptional. On returning recommended the Anglers to a friend who took his wife for a couple of days... More

Came here for a bar supper on the recommendation of a local we met playing golf at Linden Hall and were not disappointed. Great cosy atmosphere and a wide ranging menu to choose from with great service. A really friendly place!

There is much to praise the management of the Anglers Arms for. They are very welcoming and the added touches like fresh flowers and excellent tea and coffee making facilities in the room are very welcome. The room we stayed in (no.7) was spacious and the ensuite bathroom was very nice. However it was impossible to watch the TV because... More

This is the best place we have been too. The food is second to none. The staff are so friendly. Richard and Jamie are amazing. The rooms are good with everything you need. We sat by the fire reading our books and just chilling out, we have come home so relaxed. We would recommend this Inn to anyone.
