We have been coming to the Anglers Arms for years. We have had dinners with family and also with colleagues and have always had great food. Recently, my husband and I decided to have the Valentine's Day set menu. We were given glasses of Prosecco upon arrival and seated straight away. The meal was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely.... More

Called in today after day walking the Simonside hills , we were meet by friendly and attentive staff. The bar had a good selection of real ale which always makes me happy. We order a couple of steak n ale pies with mash and I swear it was the best pie we have ever had. Log fire, real ale and excellent... More

We stayed four nights in February as we wanted to do a bit of relaxed touring in the general area. Everything was fine from the welcome (warm), the room (quite spacious and yet cosy) and the service (friendly). The inn has long since been bypassed by the main road so there was no traffic noise. We ate in one night... More

In a lovely location by the River Coquet, the Angler's is a hotel/restaurant which shines in both respects. Paid £79 for 2 nights' b and b, which was a steal in itself. Chose to eat there the first night and it was so good, we ate there again on the second night too. Log fires, decent and well-kept selection of... More

The Angler's Arms has an army of loyal followers and I do understand why, the welcome is warm, the pub is quirky and cosy, and its in a convenient and pretty river location not far from Morpeth. We stopped for lunch here at New Year, and it was rammed. Popular with the older generation, and the food reflects this in... More

What a great stay! Fantastic food that would cater to anyone's tastes, local beers and staff that are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are nothing over the top, but were clean & comfy and ideal for the weekend stay. The location is ideal as it is easy to get to the coast and surrounding areas. All in all a... More
