We received a warm welcome and shown to our room. The room was spacious but a little dusty. Our room was outside of the hotel so didn't have to enter through the bar area if we didn't want to or the bar was closed. We could have done with a blind on the downstairs window leading to the bathroom as... More

Took my husband fly fishing for his birthday. Stayed in the Anglers for 3 nights. We had the flat which sleeps 6 and it was gorgeous. A very comfy bed and a well equipped apartment which does officially accommodate 6 however 4 guests would need access through the bedroom to reach the bathroom which is down a spiral staircase. It... We only stayed here for one night but our room was lovely as was the bathroom with a lovely big shower. The breakfast in the morning was incredible - great value for money. If you need constant access to your mobile - be warned there is poor reception in the area but there is a pay phone inside and a... More

My wife and I recently stumbled across a sign for the anglers arms whilst travelling home . Feeling a little peckish we thought we'd investigate . Following the sign posts we discovered the anglers arms. A hotel/pub that serves fantastic food. We ordered a home made burger with chunky chips and some onion rings. My eyes were out on stalks... We loved our stay here Arrived early but we were made really welcome, left our luggage and explored the area before returning later in the day. Food both at breakfast and in the restaurant were of a high standard. The room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Will probably return at some point

Just got back after an amzing 2 nights. The staff were great from the moment we walked in. The location is ideal with the nearest village around 2 miles away. We drank and ate with locals that keep coming back which is a good sign. The food was exceptional. The room was very clean and very cosy. It was a... More

A great stay with very comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of dishes as well as buffet. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. It is in a very peaceful and pretty location with an easy drive to Seahouses, Bamburgh and Alnwick castles.

What a great place to stay! After a 5 hour journey, arriving early evening, it was sheer bliss to be shown to our accommodation which was the flat. Such a lovely space, quiet and relaxing - clean, spacious, tea making facilities in the sitting room for that early cuppa in bed, comfy bed in the bedroom and with a super... More

Back again for another lovely evening meal . This time I didn't make the mistake of ordering a starter first as the last time I couldn't eat most of my main meal I was that full! Again all 4 of us had different mains and pud - all gorgeous.
