Simply driving past with friends for a day out, and thought we would try this place out and it certainly did not dissapoint. Sunday dinner was beautiful and there was plenty on the menu. The staff were very friendly and made us very welcome when we arrived. Would recommend for a Sunday dinner definately and don't think it will be... More

Just returned from a three night break at the Angler's Arms and would recommend it! The rooms were comfortable and very clean with newly refurbished ensuites, the staff were super and the food excellent. It's in a beautiful area with some really interesting places to visit. We loved Cragside and the Alnwick Garden.

A great place to stay with excellent food. There was a good variety of choices for vegetarians – non pretentious but interesting and well presented. (this is quite rare!) Perfect poached eggs for breakfast was a bonus. The staff were very helpful and the room (although small) was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. I would recommend it... More

We were only staying for 1 night, to attend a wedding at the priory near by. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and had even arranged for the room we were staying in to be cleaned first, so that we could drop our bags off earlier, to set off to the wedding. We were out all day, so didn't get... More

The rooms here are furnished to a very high standard and the Inn itself is ideally located for travellers en route to Scotland or explorers of the fantastic Northumberland countryside. Plenty of golf clubs about too. The food here is excellent and a very interesting menu is always well prepared by Chef Paul. The ales are well kept and the... More

Called in for an evening meal purely by chance after the road to our intended pub was closed due to road works. We certainly hit lucky as we enjoyed a really warm welcome and a delicious meal. The main courses of the lambs liver and the lamb shank were cooked to perfection and we would take a deliberate detour in... More

Food is lovely and plentiful, so much so I had starters as a main meal!! Staff are lovely and can't thank them enough... More

Have just had 3 night break at the anglers. What can I say. Staff couldnt do enough for use and our little cocker spanial. Even set a breakfast table up in the bar so did not have to leave her. The lady who served breakfast was amazing as were all the staff. Room very clean (room2) however could do with... More

Everyone should experience staying at this splendid place. Food was sublime (note to all chefs - this is how it should be done). Staff provided excellent service with a friendly smile. Stayed in room 3 which should be accurately described as an apartment - fantastic. Hotel was exceptionally clean, comfortable bar in which to relax after taking in the breathtaking... More
