We stayed in East Cottage for 4 nights in early November and thought the accommodation was excellent (one of the best self catering accom we have visited) very well equipped and Dee was so welcoming. We enjoyed the area with lots to see and do. Would recommend the Rat Inn outside Hexham and a visit to Corbridge is a must.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in west cottage. The cottage was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. On arrival we were welcomed by Dee with a basket of delicious goodies. Dee and charles were extremely welcoming and helpful, advising us on places to visit with our two children and dog. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, en suite... More

We stayed - for the second time - in West Cottage in early October. This is one of our very favourite holiday cottages ever - it's incredibly comfortable, well-equipped, cosy and yet has plenty of space. The location is so quiet and peaceful and you feel immediately at home when you arrive. The furniture and furnishings are lovely and the... More

We booked West Cottage to use as a base for a family wedding nearby and we couldn't have asked for more. The cottage was immaculate, very comfy, cosy and Charles and Dee couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitable. Lovely fabrics, pretty painted kitchen, fluffy white bath towels - all very home from home. Highly recommend as a base for exploring... More

We stayed in the Middle Cottage in June 2015. Dee and Charles were helpful and friendly. Cottage was clean and homely but a couple of faults prohibit an Excellent rating. Personally we found the cottage a little small, there is no dishwasher and low water pressure seemed to trigger an occasional but very loud noise with the cistern fill, this... More

Stayed for a week in this lovely self catering cottage situate in the little village of Gunnerton. The owners are absolutely delightful and strike the perfect balance of being welcoming and friendly, but not intrusive. The cottage itself was warm and very well supplied with washing machine, dishwasher and a well equipped kitchen. There is also a separate drying room... More

This is a lovely appointed cottage and very cosy. Unfortunately the log burner didn't work, probably due to a blockage. Charles came and looked at it but nothing was done. I suspect it needed sweeping and that probably couldn't be arranged at short notice but we weren't kept in form. It did detract from our stay because we had chosen... More

We are 2 couples who spent 5 nights in West Cottage and found it to be very comfortable and easy to live in. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds comfy - if a little warm as the duvets were quite thick. Lovely 'in the bath' showers with ample hot water and plenty of towels for our use.... More

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Dee and Charles' Southlands Farm Cottages. We stayed in Middle cottage which was perfect for us as there were just two of us. Middle cottage has a great feel to it, very nicely decorated with luxurious touches. We were lucky to have great weather and there's lots of nice routes to go for... More
