This is a great hotel in a wonderful setting. You are right in the middle of the countryside with amazing views. As a family run hotel, you get excellent service and I stayed in one of the new rooms which was amongst the best I have stayed in anywhere in the world. It was huge, comfortable and luxurious. Supper at... More

A totally up itself, overpriced hotel with a management ethos somewhere between Hi De Hi and a well-known cheap airline! The staff were friendly but given the money you are paying that is not enough. It was plain to see they had received no proper training. They had no discretion – programmed only to say “it’s company policy” and the... More

I am belatedly writting this review as I have been away on my honeymoon. The wedding on 3rd July was absolutely perfect (even the weather was lovely!). I would like to put on record how impressed I was by all of the staff, particularly Steph, Melvin, The bar manager down at no19 Matthew and of course Victor who was a... More

From the moment we arrived it was stunning. The old hall and the grounds were stunning. No19 bar was great and apparently so Im told the golf was excellent. Our Room was part of the old Stable Block and sheer luxury. Comfortable, contemporary and well equipped. The main house was well kept and beautiful. Concierge and staff very friendly, helpful... We stayed here this past weekend for a wedding. The staff: All incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms: We had a standard room which was small but perfectly adequate & most importantly clean. Very comfortable beds. Some of our party we're staying in the cottages around the courtyard which we're beautiful & a very good size. Food: We ate... More

Room was amazing -stunning. Concierge very very well spoken, polite and helpful.. No19 staff happy, polite and helpful. Overall a perfect night away from reality! I shall definitely return.. If there was a downside it's the fact the day menu is the same as the evening .

Stayed here for two nights on a golf break on a B&B basis. The Golf Centre, the Golf Course and all the staff working in the Golf Shop and the Locker room men were all very helpful and friendly and they made this an excellent golfing break. The hotel side was over priced and not value for money and not... More

My husband & I returned to stay at close house for the first time since getting married there last year. The house is still as beautiful as ever. We were pleased when reception told us breakfast world be served in Argent D'or as we had heard that it had now closed-as has the lounge bar (except for wedding use). Argent... More

We booked a Sunday lunch with friends at No 19. The Sunday lunch was disappointing. Gristly, poorly cooked meat and over cooked vegetables. Just nasty! The whole place is dirty. The floors are filthy. The tables are sticky. The sofa needed hoovering. All very grubby. If the aim is to achieve the ambiance of an unfriendly working men's club then... More
