Don't be fooled by the lure of this fine example of a quintessential English coach house inside is a cold, empty, miserable greeting from not only the staff but the surroundings and the food. This bland experience needs a rocket!

My Husband and I were in the area on business and The three Wheats was recommended to us for Lunch.Initially I was sceptical at the extensive many, convinced that the quality of the food would be compromised because of this. How wrong I was .We were the first Diners in the Restaurant and expected to wait a while for Lunch to... This was one of the nicest places we stayed on our recent trip to Northumberland. Everyone was very friendly, room was lovely with a great view. Beds were comfy and there was a bath as well as shower. We had a twin room. Food was delicious but be sure you eat your breakfast sausages!

Lovely rural pub with exceptional food. I went to the the Three Wheat Heads for my birthday, a party of 5 plus 2 dogs. We were accommodated in the bar ( no dogs in the restaurant of bourse ) and we were very comfortable and made to feel welcome. The food was awesome quality, excellent presentation and great value.

After a good night's sleep the breakfast was great with plenty of choice. We had the full English and it set us up for the day.... More

Stayed here recently,a last minute visit to the area. Lovely comfy bedroom, and a good breakfast . We had an excellent evening meal ,dining room very quiet that night (wet and windy weather),but was busy at lunchtime when we booked in. Would definitely stay again!
