The staff here are lovely, made me feel very welcome. Pub had great atmosphere from outset and then there was a local ukelele group inn which added to nice atmosphere. Car park roomy, place easy to find, well located for shops, eateries and beach. Bed very comfy rooms very spacious, shower very powerful & warm.

We arrived at the Old Ship a lot earlier than the check in time but Jackie was happy to let us have our room which was very kind of her. The room was very airy and comfortable and the views were great. There was live music on the night we stayed and it turned out to be a really good... More

We received a warm welcome at the Old Ship form Jackie and her staff. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. We did not manage to book an en suite bathroom but the private one down the hall was just fine, Good shower. The venue was fully booked and busy with a Halloween fund raiser going on. We... More

On arrival we were a bit shocked by the car park and the rear of the Old Pier but things improved on going in.Friendly staff who showed us to our room.It had a lovely view looking to the sea.The room and bathroom were clean but VERY tired. The wallpaper was coming off the wall above the wardrobe and the paint... More

I have stayed here for three week up to date and have had a warm and friendly experience from the owner and all of her staff, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms that I have stayed in were very comfortable, all with sea view and nicely appointed. It had free Wi-Fi with good reception in all of the rooms.... More

Please don't ever enter into a private arrangement with the owner over the phone. When I checked on the dates we needed she said I could book it there and then to save her paying booking.com fees. I asked her several times if the price she was quoting included breakfast and was told yes. However when we arrived we were... More

In response to your very unfair review, we respond as follows; When potential guests contact us for availability we always state room only prices and inform them that breakfast is available, if required, at an additional cost which depends on which option is chosen as per information in rooms. When you arrived and immediately mentioned breakfast (were you trying to... More

Our visit to this B&B was so enjoyable, the 2 rooms which we stayed in had been recently refurbished, which were so clean & comfortable, plus they overlooked the promenade with a great seaview. The staff very friendly & helpfull, & being a pub the added bonus! The owner is still having an ongoing refurbishment throughout, i look forward to... More

We booked our rooms months in advanced as we was attending a special occasion nearby and we was told we had the best rooms with en suits. When we arrived she showed us the 2 rooms that were left as other people that had arrived that day had taken the better rooms! When she had shown us our room she... More

We were disappointed when we read the comments made and respond as follows. One person booked three rooms with us (two en suite rooms and one with an external bathroom but which has a shower in the room). Quite a while after this one more room was requested. They were told that the only room that was free was awaiting... More
