A lovely comfortable house and our sea view room was large and catered for all our needs. Kathy was very friendly and provided us with a very tasty breakfast. We really enjoyed our first visit to Newbiggin by the Sea. Trish and Brian

If it was just the room that was the best part of the stay I would not be being truthful....The owner was very helpful and very nice....The place it's self was everything and more than i would expect from a bed and breakfast...Clean, fresh and very well appointed....Without a doubt the best two nights stay in any establishment for a... A lovely comfy room with a beautiful view. Kathy was very friendly - helpful advice and happy to serve breakfast to suit me. The breakfast was very tasty! Just make sure when you are first looking for the B&B you turn up 'Haven View' rather than 'The Haven' because otherwise you are faced with a VERY tight maneuver to turn... More

Outstanding no frills B&B, fully deserves the excellent ratings. Clean, quiet, comfortable, great breakfast. Worth the extra for room with the sea view. Kathy friendly and very helpful.

Cannot be beaten for an overnight stay. Have the front room to watch the sun go down over the bay in the company of Ebb and Flo across the beach. Kathy can't do too much for you and cooked us a great breakfast with new laid eggs. A good night's sleep guaranteed.

She was very helpful, informing us of the local places of interest, the best pubs/restaurants to eat, always willing to have a chat. The room was perfect with a fantastic view... More

Our work takes us up and down the country, and stayed in many B&Bs and hotels, this place ticks all the boxes, friendly atmosphere, very clean and comfortable rooms, breakfasts great and evening meals even better!! This is by far the best b&b we have stayed in! More work down that way next year and hope to stay again. Thanks... More

My partner and I made the trip up from Cambridge to participate in the Great North Run, 2011. From the off, Kathy was warm, humorous and made us feel at home. The accommodation itself is charming, spacious and immaculate. We were lucky enough to be located in the room overlooking the bay, and we spent every morning and evening soaking... More
