4th visit with the same 8 friends has become are regular couples chill out time from the busy work and family scheduels. Another wonderful 2 nights stay, all i can say to those who say Derwent is dated and old fashioned is that its styled on a medevial building, is get a grip. If you are looking for an ultra... More

We booked a ramblers package with this hotel. After reading the reviews we were a bit concerned. However the first positive thing was when we went up the drive to the hotel. Fantastic setting with wonderful views acress the valley. Check in was instant. The hotel is build in medevial style with some fantastic function rooms. Afternoon tea was adequate.... More

We just want to thank you very much for taking such good care of us and our guests at the Derwent Manor 19th and 20th May. Everyone enjoyed their stay at your hotel and the food and the service was perfect. Julie was so helpful and everything was arranged in accordance with our wishes and there is nothing we would... Stayed for a lovely weekend may 2012. Our room overlooked the Derwent valley. It was a bit of a trek from reception, but benefitted by being quiet even with two weddings underway. We ate in Guinevere's restaurant both evenings. Food and wine to a good standard, service a little patchy, other than a waitress (michelle,I think) who was lovely. Local... More

We first stayed in this hotel in 2009, and decided to book again in view of the incredible 2012 Offer. For a Sunday night at only £68-12 per couple, you have dinner, B&B in a double or twin room, including a bottle of house wine with dinner, fully inclusive of service & VAT. Clearly the hotel was a lot fuller... More

Thanks for the fairly honest comments , this offer was designed for the local market but glad you were offered it, rest assured it is NEVER our intention to over charge, sometimes in a people lead industry mistakes do get made. But there are many great value packages on sale just ask. More

Many thanks fof comment will try to improve, but still a little suprised, dog charges do apply but are much better value than kennel stays, sorry but dogs only allowed in rooms not the main hotel as have had to deal with a few issues were pets are concerned. More
