Clean, bright, airy, excellent location. Grand Union Canal just across the road. Very relaxing, everything provided for breakfast, toast, cereal, milk, butter, etc. All linen clean and fresh. They didn't forget anything, even a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, torch and umbrella. Good, well priced food at The Navigation pub, situated right on the canal (we didn't try the others).... Waterways Cottage is a very pleasant B&B situated in the absolutely charming village of Stoke Bruerne. The property is located right next to the canal, with it's several nearby locks, and the small road bridge which spans it. Directly across the street sits one pub. And across the bridge sits the Canal Museum, as well as another pub. While we... More

Easy to find, easy to park, owners easy to get on with - on the rare occasions they appeared. Facilities and food carefully thought out ('I imagine what I would like' says Kath) - down to a really nice ground coffee. The location could not be more central (staggering distance from the pub/restaurant) and the village itself is at the... More

Simply the best of the best of the best the accommodation leaves nothing wanting the attention to detail is exceptional, the most comfortable and friendly place we have stayed. Add this to its location in the centre of the village right beside the canal with 2 good pub/restaurants in walking distance absolute brilliant stay. The only down side we could... More

Kath has gone to great lengths to make a stay at Waterways cottage a very pleasant one. She was kind enough to give us eggs for breakfast even though I offered to buy some from her. Thank you Kath I hope to visit again soon.

Stayed here for one night on a visit to nearby towcester racecourse.Beautiful self-catering cottage, shame we only stayed for one night, the village was charming. Left to our own devices, very homely, only downside was the Jacuzzi/bath was broke and our double was two singles put together ! Great pub across the road and even better indian.

Second time of visiting Waterways. Couldnt find a cleaner or better equiped place if you tried. Kath has thought of everything that you could ever need, even down to an umbrella and stand up make up mirror. Fridge stocked with butter, bread, milk, juice , jam, marmalade and the cupboards full of assorted cereal. I have mobility problems and use... More

Decide to use Waterways in order to visit family in the village and were delighted with what waterways provides. The first, and lasting impression, is that it is spotlessly clean and well equipped. Its mix of B&B and apartment was perfect for what we wanted and the Scarlett Studio we had has the added advantage of a kitchen/dining room making... More

I was hoping to be actually in an old cottage but we were in a modern extension. However, it was immaculately clean, the beds are comfortable and the shower room was really nice. Having our own cooking facilities was really rather handy so that I could make my own pot of tea and we could have our breakfast as and... More
