grandma stayed here during a family visit as she has trouble with stairs. The room was perfect for her, particularly the en-suite and the staff could not have been more helpful. She loved the breakfast tray too. Would certainly stay here again.

Attractive and well maintained pub with good beer and cider. Welcoming staff with a menu promising a little more than average pub food. This all turned out to be pretty reasonable but uninspiring. The burgers were good; the cullen skink was really a case of fish cakes rather than soup - although to be fair the menu did provide a... More

Stayed in this pub when we were in Northamptonshire for a friend's wedding. It was perfect. Lovely quaint countryside which appealed to us London escapees very much. The service was great, staff happy to accommodate things like moving our suitcases from our room into a safe area on our last day so we could leave it and go for a... More

On our way to Leeds we booked an overnight stay at the Fox and were very pleased that we did!. We had a really nice meal in the pub. We arrived later than expected but the staff were very accommodating and kept the kitchen open for us. Our room was in a stable block across the yard and we loved... More

The Fox is as lovely looking as all its photos. The room was small, linen was clean and crisp with a comfy bed. The bathroom was very nice with a good shower but not sure there was any ventilation? We couldn't access the WIFI and found a cable on leaving for the internet. (We should have asked). We found the... More

Have been here several times in the last few years but not sure i will again. Always leave feeling slightly ripped off as not value for money. Have had some really nice meals and also some slightly less good ones so if you don't order right you can leave disappointed. Nice looking pub and nice inside but I think there... More

An attractive old pub just off the main road through the village, it looks to be the sort of place that has had some money spent on it, but still manages to retain much of it’s olde world charm and pubby atmosphere – for example there was a shelf full of board games in one of the bars. There is... More

The Fox at Farthinghoe is a lovely welcoming pub down a side street, with a pretty garden and a nicely decorated bar / restaurant area. What a shame that the chef on duty today can't serve up a good roast dinner; and staff training is needed on how to deal with dissatisfied customers. The Fox website says that as all... More

Dear Guest, I am sincerly sorry that you did not enjoy your visit with us on Sunday. It is always very disappointing to get poor reviews, and not something we pride ourselves on. I can assure you that everything is 100% cooked fresh to order. After discussing this issue with the chef on Sunday, it would appear that we did have... More
