We have been to this hotel on many occasions but never on a Sunday, Extensive menu on dispay, however as my wife doesn't like Haggis she asked if one of the starters coud be substituted with B Pudding as an alternative. 20 seconds later owner confirmed change was possible and we were served a meal to die for. Service, quality... More

Everything about this hotel is great, the welcome, the service, the warmth and helpfulness of all the staff and at the top of the ladder are Colin and Norman who go out of their wasy to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. My wife and I have stayed three times now and we have never stayed anywhere... More

This hotel maintains the highest standard on every visit. The warmest of welcomes whether they are run off their feet or I'm the only visitor. Charm personified! The food is just to die for! I can't recommend this wonderful little place highly enough! Go try it.....then judge for yourself! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

I have eaten here regularly over the years, and can honestly say I've never been disappointed! I was with friends for a special birthday celebration recently and asked for garlic prawns (not on the menu) I got these no problem, they were delicious, huge local caught fresh prawns. We had no complaints at our table (age group 12-75!) that in... More

We received a gift voucher for Xmas which had an expiry date end may 2014, due to having a baby in April we were running out of time to book, I emailed 10 days before voucher expiry after having difficulty getting any response by telephone and no response to my answer machine message left, however the hotel was fully booked... I have eaten here a few times and I feel like the standard of food is not as good as it was when it first opened. The last time I went, it was for a catch up with old work friends who I had not seen for a long time. I had the Haddock Craigmaud for my main (which is... More

I stayed here for a couple of nights and could not fault it in any way, the room was lovely and clean, the food was excellent, staff very attentive, and also free wi-fi which is brilliant as I stay in bigger hotel chains from time to time and they charge you for this.... Keep up the good work.

Well after waiting 6 weeks to get a table on a Saturday night was it worth the wait? Yes definitely. It was our first visit and I hope not my last. Decor lovely, really nice menu, had real prawns to start, which is the first time I have ever had that in a restaurant in the north east. They were... More

We stayed as a couple in August last year for a Wedding. The room was excellent and a very good size. Bathroom was very nice and modern. We only stayed one night but the room seemed to be very clean and the breakfast the next morning was very nice. Staff seemed to be friendly and helpful. Would stay again if... More
