Friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms nice and clean and the bed was big and comfy. The evening food was decent and the breakfast lovely. Much more personal touch than those big purple chain one. Nice character and charm. Would stay here again x

Usually third time lucky but not in this case. I have been before and was impressed but not this time. The room was tired. The meal on the second night was very poor and not cooked properly. I did raise the issue and was told I wouldn't be charged. I was. The room was next to the road and I... More

I stayed for 1 night in march and it was awful, the room had no heating , freezing cold which kept me awake, the old heater that was there put out no worthy heat so I hardly slept. At breakfast at 7am the owner and 2 staff members while cooking were so loud chatting in the kitchen cackling with laughter... More

Stayed here for one night, room was nice and spacey and clean, bed was comfortable and the owners where friendly. The bar only serves cans of alcohol and soft drinks and the food is average but it's not bad for a couple of nights stay.

Been here before and wasn't let down this time. The hotel hadn't changed and I even got the same room as before. The staff were as helpful as always. The only really minor downside to it is that the bar only sell cans and not draught beer. There are a couple of pubs nearby but at this time of year... More

At first it didn't really look like much, but enter and its a different world. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, fresh and comfortable. Breakfast - nothing was too much trouble. Based on what you get, excellent value for money.

Stayed here for one night, just the job for what I wanted. Speedy check-in by a very pleasant receptionist who answed all my queries and was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the usual facilities. The bathroom was also clean, but unusually narrow. Check-out was also quick and the gentleman dealing with this was as... More

I found the hotel to be welcoming and friendly, the staff couldn't be easier to get on with and the food was exactly as I asked for.the room was clean, spacious and warm.i encountered some other regular guests who were all over the moon with their stays. On the whole, I would stay here again and again if I had... More

This was recommended by a colleague and it was good recommendation. The hotel, although not the largest, was very welcoming and pleasant. The duty manager was the most helpful in every way. The bedroom was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and a personal touch. A couple of things to be aware of is that in the... More

I am in Theale on business a couple of days a week at present. Rooms are spotless food is good "pub like" food and the staff are extremely friendly and down to earth. As per the comment from Steven J, I don't understand the other negative comments. This is a cheap good hotel for business travellers and I will continue... More
