What a wonderful campsite, very friendly and helpful staff. The site was very clean and tidy. Toilet/shower block was the best I've ever seen on a campsite very well kept. We only used the site shop once to buy a can of drink. Because we had non electric we paid 50p for them to charge our phones, and 20p to... More

This is a caravan park not a hotel as in further questions, the site is excellent beautifully maintained, toilets and showers lovely and clean, water always hot, good size pitches. Not far from many tourist attractions and near to local hostilities serving good food.

This site is utterly beautiful, so well kept very clean and all pitches are spacious. We had electric and with our three young children we were pitched right next to the little play park which was ideal for our young daughters, they loved the park so much. I also managed to do some washing. There was never a queue for... More

a very welcoming place. Our first family camping trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the children were also warmly welcomed and enjoyed their stay. The facilities are clean and regularly checked. Its a beautiful area where you can enjoy countryside walks and it is really close to the train station allowing great links to... More

We have visited Whitemead twice this year, both peak times - Easter bank holiday and 5 nights in August, both times we have had an amazing time. The facilities are excellent and clean. Everyone is very friendly and happy to help. The walk from the site down to the River Frome is beautiful ( and an ideal walk for our... More

There is an onsite shop and the owners work in that, they couldnt have been more helpful. The toilets and showers are brilliant. clean, hot and... More

It wasn't somewhere I would go again but if I new someone with kids I would recommend it. Not that it wasn't clean the toilets were not really dirty it could have been better. The pitch was good not level but well kept.

This camp site is really lovely in its situation near the river Frome and close to the lovely town of Wool. We walked all around Wool and its lovely church - beautifully thatched cottages. There is the Black Bear Pub and the Ship Inn. We visited both. Very friendly welcome. Supper at the Ship was very good. Yes there is... More
