Arrived in evening, entrance not clear...as I came from left I went in first entrance...found myself by rooms and their house...I stood around and a young lad came out and I gave my name and he went off in opposite direction...appears there is main entrance at the next entrance! Room huge and lovely with high beamed ceiling, very comfy bed,... More

We booked Church Farm Lodge at the last minute, as had to cancel our original plans, Our welcome was a little hurried, but ok. The room was really nice, lovely and warm, and a very good size. The bed was comfortable and a good size. Only down side, was the shower was pretty useless, but did find out on our... More

We booked The Appledon Suite for one night in November as a last minute get away. It's okay, only a double sized 4 poster bed, no biscuits on the tea tray, no room service available, no reception and underneath the bath was a leak somewhere as there was water on the floor. I mopped it up once and it seeped... More

Having viewed the website for Church Farm my husband and I were were looking forward to our stay. The room was a decent size with reasonable quality furniture but was in desperate need of a good spring clean. Every surface was dusty and there were cobwebs everywhere. Furnishings and other woodwork needed cleaning and rewaxing. The mattress needed replacing as... More

Located on a working farm in a small village just off the A14, Church Farm Lodge has character rooms in a quiet country setting. Our barn conversion room was spacious with beams and raked ceiling. Thoughtful inclusions such as a selection of teas and bottled water. Also has free wifi. Not the most comfortable bed but it was only for... More

Clean and comfortable room stayed for 1 night to break long journey. Would stay longer next time - interesting villages nearby with good choice of evening eating venues (list provided by CFL). Closest petrol station on A14 East - don't waste fuel looking for an alternative! Breakfast excellent and good choice but slightly early for some!

I got married at Kelmarsh hall this year so decided to stay with my family the night before and on the night of my wedding. We turned up during check-in hours but the premises was locked and we couldn't get through on the phone (its the middle of nowhere and signal is terrible) so we were left in the cold... More

We stayed here on 5.9.15 as part of a wedding party. Other guests also stayed on the Friday night. The venue does what it says on the tin and was ideal for getting changed etc prior to attending wedding. Breakfast is excellent. We were perfectly content, as were all the other guests, some of whom were quite demanding. Price is... More

Booked in as part of a bridal party and staying in a triple room on the Friday and got ready for the wedding there with the wedding party on the Saturday morning - many guests stayed also on the Saturday. Village / rural location was picturesque and it was the closest place to the Wedding Venue, Kelmarsh Hall (10 mins... More
