I stayed in a premier poacher lodge for a week with my partner for our birthdays. On arrival quick check in and shown to the lodge which was very private and secluded and not overlooked Spotlessly clean inside and hot tub was amazing in an evening even in the snow! There was a bottle of champagne and box of chocs... More

Griffon Forest is handily placed just outside York, not far from the Park 'n' ride should you wish to visit. The forest itself is large and the cabins nicely spaced out around it with reasonable privacy. We stayed in 'Gardeners Premier' and our hot tub was unable to be viewed by anyone else. Two double ensuite bedrooms make it ideal... More

This was our second visit to Griffon Forest and it was amazing!! We stayed in the Poachers Premier and there were flowers, choc and Champers on arrival and as it was our wedding anniversary it was a lovely touch. Accommodation is 5* and the location is excellent. The lodge was fully equipped and even came with complimentary dressing robes. Four... More

Booked Griffon forest through Hoseasons. We were lucky enough to stay in early February and had snow which made the lodge, forest and hot tub all look amazing. After a friendly hassle free arrival we found our lodge (Keepers 41) warm, clean and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with all appliances and crockery, tea, coffee, milk and sugar were... This was our second visit to griffin forest, we haven't been for just over 3 years but we're pleased that very little had changed. The location is fantastic so quiet and remote yet so close to things of interest should you want to go out. The welcome was warm and friendly and we found our keepers lodge easily. The lodge... My wife and I stayed in a Poachers cabin on the weekend of the 16th January. We regularly stay with Forest Holidays and thought we'd have a change and try Griffon Forest. The site is very easy to get to being.just outside of York off the A64. The cabin itself was cosy with open plan living and 2 hot tubs!... More

We visited in summer as a family and loved it a lot. The accommodation was perfect very clean and very spacious. We especially loved the hot tub, it was nice to sit in it at night with the kids and watch the badgers and the rabbits. The restaurant was very nice but expensive, great flat land for bike rides and... More

Following our disastrous time last Christmas at Oakwood Lodges, we were sceptical about coming here, although we shouldn't have worried. Griffon Forest was truly amazing in every way!!! We arrived at reception and were greeted with mulled wine and mince pies which we thought was a lovely touch and just what we needed after a two hour drive. The surroundings are... More

Fabulous lodge, stayed in No.52. Everything about the lodge was excellent apart from the uncomfortable sofas. Griffon Forest itself quite sparse, not a negative just a fact. Had a meal at Tykes with 10% discount and excellent, a must if staying here. Used the Monk's Cross park and ride and although slightly further than I thought it's easily accessible. Staff... More
