Outstanding site, great staff, polite and discreet. The cabins are set in such a way you don't see your neighbour, spotlessly clean on arrival, well equipped kitchen, wanted for nothing.... Even a brick built BBQ which was a great touch, the hot tub certainly got used every day, Sky TV and free view passed the later evening but the wildlife... More

My husband and I came away for a last minute luxury break without the kids... We stayed in Poachers Premier lodge no 4 .. Upon arrival we were greeted in reception by friendly staff. First impressions of lodge were nice and spacious but once inside not luxury ... Lovely spa, and hot tub. Settee looked a bit dated, 4 roses... More

We stayed in premiers garden lodge no. 25 from 10-14 August, previous reviews had mentioned the lodges were not very clean, we found on the outside of our lodge down the side were bags of rubbish that had been left by a previous guest which we found a rather annoying. The decking area & inside of the lodge was very... More

Stayed as a couple 10th-14th August 15. Initially worried about the few reviews that had mentioned that their lodge had been unclean with cobwebs etc. This was not the case with our lodge (lodge 13 poachers). The lodge was clean and generally really nice. I suppose the decor could do with modernising but I think the idea of a lodge... More

I recently visited Griffon forest on a surprise trip organised by my boyfriend and we were both absolutely made up with the entire stay! The long driveway really takes you away from all the noise of the busy roads and makes you feel so far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life (especially for me as I live in... More

An absolute gem! The drive from the main road up to reception is lovely through the woods, knowing you are leaving the hectic lifestyle behind. The lodges are spaced apart and not overlooked at all. We used the dvd library in reception which had a good selection for our stay. When we arrived at the lodge there were fresh flowers,... More

We have just returned from Griffon Forest Lodges, we had been booked in for five nights but asked to stay an extra night because it was that good. When we arrived we were greeted at the reception and given straightforward directions to the lodge and a laminated map of the estate and walks. We were in a poachers lodge which... More

Stayed for a week at Lodge 45. We were lucky enough to see 4 badgers during our stay along with a whole host of feathered friends and 2 squirrels who joined us for breakfast each morning. Tykes Restaurant on site is very good and a pleasant place to eat. Loved the forest walks and the peace and quiet. Felt very... More

This place is fantastic! Managed to get into our lodge a few hours earlier after calling up and explaining it was our honeymoon. On arrival the staff were brill, they answered any questions we had and were very polite. Stopped in lodge number 6, was really clean and set up with champagne, chocolates and red roses which was a nice... More

We stayed in lodge number 9 - it was perfect in every way - nice and clean! would go back again. Only issue we had was bugs when in the hot tub no bug candles or spay would keep them away :( Badgers were amazing to watch along with all the other wildlife, Badgers love crunchy peanut butter! Tykes was... More
