5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Booked after randomly googling and checking on trip advisor. We hadn't been on a holiday like this before so didn't know what to expect. We had cabin 40 which was secluded enough and allowed pets. On arrival we checked in within minutes and found tea, sugar, milk and biscuits waiting for us in the cabin (which was great after a... More

Stayed in a poachers premier cabin for our honeymoon last year was absolutely fabulous! The cabin was spacious and luxurious amazing. Very secluded. Loved the hot tub. The tykes restaurant at the golf club was definitely a highlight. One of the best meals I've ever had. Recommend it to anyone 😄👍x

Stayed here in July for a midweek break with my partner and little pooch George!! The site is stunning and George loved his walks every day, only complaint about the site was that a little coffee shop would have been a welcome addition. The lodge itself was a decent size but was extremely dark even in the sunshine so u... More

I have been here many times and it never fails to disappoint. As always staff very welcoming. They even upgraded my lodge as we booked the wrong one. We stayed in lodge 22 and had badgers visit every night! Will be back again soon.

My partner and I stayed in The Poachers Lodge (no 17) for a last minute weekend break....never been to a lodge before and it was recommended by the travel agent for a relaxing break. Didn't really know what to expect...but it exceeded our expectations. Griffon Forrest is perfect for anybody wanting to get away from it all for a few... More

We stayed in "The Poachers" lodge last week. We have been here for 5 consecutive years and the stay was as fantastic as usual, it was quiet and secluded, perfect for a romantic break away. There was lots of wildlife to see in the forest, including badgers (albeit very much coaxed to our lodge by peanut butter sandwiches). The hot... More

Stayed here in July with family for the 5th time & again we weren't disappointed. The lodge was excellent, clean & tidy. The complimentary tea, coffee, milk & biscuits always a little added bonus after the long drive. The hot tub was a favourite again with all the family!! We ate at Tykes restaurant and the food was phenomenal, definitely... More

This place was booked for us by family so we had no idea what it was like as we were just there for a wedding next door at the golf course. First of all it has the longest driveway in England (well felt like it), the reception was easy to find and has a shop with all the essentials in.... More
