Having recently moved into the area, we visited the Craven Arms for a Sunday roast having heard good reports. We arrived around 4.30pm to find the restaurant empty and about 3 people in the bar! Concerned we even considered leaving as we thought this must be a bad sign. But we decided to stay and it was a top decision.... More

Visited The Craven Arms last Friday on our way back from Morecambe had not booked even though busy they managed to squeeze us in. There is a great choice offered on the menu and there was a specials menu too, so hard to decide. I opted for warm Chicken and chorizo on a crispy salad with a slice of fresh... More

We stayed here as a family group - so had a number of the rooms booked. If you're looking for 5* - then you're booking the wrong place. However, if you're looking for somewhere with a warm welcome, comfy beds, lovely food (especially the breakfast) - then this is the place to book! We were greeted by the lovely Lauren,... More

Stayed here for two nights during a trip to the dales. I was not expecting this to be so good. The room had a fantastic big and comfortable bed. The towels and bath products were standard, but the shower was large, and once you had understood its idiosyncrasies, very effective. The evening meals were of a very high standard and... More

Will use this hotel again. PROs a) the food is cheap but very good. B) the bed is comfy. C) staff are friendly and accommodating. D) Right next door to the railway station and a good bus link out side. CONS. A) Next door to the main road ( a bit noisy when the windows are open in summer) B)... More

We stayed here as part of a booking by my parents for a family group birthday break so had 5 rooms booked. All worked well and were cleaned daily. The food was great and the team were so friendly and really flexible for us all. Any requests we had were dealt with swiftly and with a smile. My only one... More

My family and I came to the Craven Arms to celebrate my Grandads 70th birthday and stayed for 3 nights. Firstly the staff here are just fantastic, so happy to help you - Lauren especially helped us a lot! My room was lovely and spacious and the bed could have fit at least three people in it! Bathrooms was nice... More

What a fabulous 3 night stay I had with my husband at The Craven Arms. All staff were so helpful and friendly and the breakfast and dinners are certainly second to none. We would certainly recommend this venue to anyone who wanted to stay in The Dales. Valerie and David Gamble

Staff highly professional and friendly. Accommodation fine - a few minor maintenance items and attention to energy efficiency would probably pay them some dividends. Food shows care in sourcing. Excellent dinner and cooked items at breakfast really good. Let down by other parts e.g. A few high quality local baked breads vs sliced slabs would make all the difference.
