We have recently returned from a weekend stay at the craven arms. We arrived late at night following a long trip and were greeted by the very friendly landlord. He was extremely helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. The rooms had all you needed for a short stay. The breakfast which was served between 8:30 and 9:30 in... More

We recently stayed at the Craven Arms as a base for our tour of the Yorkshire Dales. The rooms were newly decorated, and very comfortable. We went off touring in the day after a good breakfast, the food was so good we decided to come back to the hotel in the evening for an evening meal. The menu was varied... More

We had dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The food was delish, the staff friendly and helpful. I had the steak which was beautifully done and my date had the chicken which she thoroughly enjoyed. The dessert was also scrumptious. And despite being a little bit further away from where we were staying it was a pleasant walk from settle-giving us... More

We stayed at The Craven Arms and used it as a base to do the Yorkshire 3 peaks, Nick & the team could not have been more helpful. When your first pint is pulled and it looks like milk in a glass, only moments later to clear to a golden fresh sparkling delighful ale and it delivered on its promise,... More

My wife and I got rid of the children and I wanted to take her to this part of the country as I have done a lot of walking there, so I wanted to show it off. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal in the restaurant, well cooked, well presented, well served, excellent. Following our meal we went through to... More

There are some issues with this hotel which are alluded to in other reviews. Yes - the restaurant and bar areas are nice, but the bedroom was basic. The room we stayed in had high windows, was dark, the lighting was poor and cleaning had not been done well over quite a period of time. There were many insects in... More
