We booked a night here very last minute as a quick get away. I had seen the good reviews. We were given such a lovely friendly greeting and nothing was too much bother. Lovely friendly warm bar and terrific restaurant space. Incredible views from every window and light pouring in. Beautiful room and good free wifi. Plenty pillows, plenty towels,... More

We went to this hotel back in October 2013, to book a room for June this year for our daughter's Leavers Ball. We booked the date in person, and very early, as there are not a lot of hotels In walking distance of the school. We were assured that we could have any room, as we were at that moment... More

We chose the Craven Arms as a budget base to visit the Dales and how pleased we were with our choice. The room, while not perfect, was very clean and the bed comfortable. A moan from my better half was that there was not enough hangers or surfaces to put out her stuff ! Not sure what stuff she meant,... More

A group of twelve of us stayed here for the weekend, received a lovely welcome, were served some excellent ales, superb food, both breakfasts and evening meals, had a very tasty packed lunch supplied and were sad to leave.

Craven Arms was a good base for our walking weekend in the Yorkshire Dales. Nick and the staff could not do enough for us, they were FANTASTIC. Great food, great beer, great weekend. Ideal also for the Settle Carlisle railway.

Having spent two nights at the craven Arms inbetween hiking I'd heartily recommend it. Comfy rooms, a warm welcome, a willingness to provide us packed food for our walks and excellent grub with friendly service on the night. They couldn't do enough. Well done all

This was our second visit to the craven arms and it won't be our last. We stayed in room six witch is a large clean room with large bed. We ate at the pub in the evening and found the food to be really good quality at reasonable price. We found the breakfast in the morning to be one of... More

Having booked the Craven Arms based on a recommendation from a colleague, we met with some friends for my wife's special birthday. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home and very welcome. Everything about our stay was superb, the accommodation, the food and, above all, the staff. It is refreshing to receive such good customer... More

The restaurant produced excellent evening and lunchtime food. It was faultless. Tasty and well presented. The quantities were good but filled with tasty well prepared food and quality ingredients. Staff and proprietor couldn't do enough for you. Always helpful and friendly. Would definitely return.
