Stayed for two nights while exploring The Settle And Carlisle Railway. Located about 15 minutes walk from Settle town centre in a fairly quiet area. Parking is available at the rear. I was checked in at the bar by a pleasant lady who allocated me a nice single room at the rear of the pub. The view over Giggleswick and... More

6 of us have just stayed here for two nights Sunday/monday.The service was fantastic . the rooms were perfectly ok. Remember this is an old country hotel not some modern building. How anyone can describe the food as adequate was beyond us. The dining room is small but modern and had an upmarket feel. The meals were delicious, fresh veg... More

We visited for the first time as we were due to take the challenge of the three peaks, arrived on Friday the 10th July and on entering the inn we received a very friendly welcome. So we had booked into our rooms which were fit for purpose and clean and tidy. We booked a table to eat that night for a... More

Used this Inn for the first night of a three day cycling trip. From the start the staff made us very welcome. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable enough for our purposes. Bathroom had had a make over and was very smart. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the beer /whiskey with it A very... More

A party of five booked into three rooms - a single and two doubles. When we arrived only two rooms had been booked which was frustrating and we had to wait in the bar with our bags until the manager started her shift to resolve the situation. The staff were very nice however. Our rooms ended up being in two... More

Liked it so much here we ate there on both nights. A warm welcome unlike some of the other local pubs! Plenty of choice plus some more unusual dishes for the more adventurous, gf and veggie. Staff keen to share tips about the local area and advice for attempting the Three peaks. Cosy bar area plus more formal dining area.... More

Stopped on 3rd July after completing the nearby 3 Peaks. The hotel is ideally situated offering excellent accommodation, meals, and beers! Barbara could not have been more accommodating and flexible. We arrived late and the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel!!

First visit for us here yesterday although my in laws, who we went with have been before. Very friendly and quick service. The menu was varied with plenty of choice. I had the sizzling duck from the specials board which was very good. Good value for money as well as not to expensive. The restaurant area was very roomy which... More

A lovely hotel which gave us a very warm welcome when we returned from our three peaks walk. Even though we were late arriving, food was waiting for us and Barbara could not have been more accommodating. Rooms were welcoming and spotlessly clean and the food was great. Would thoroughly recommend! Many thanks from some very tired and sore walkers!

Nice pub with an outstanding beer garden, great staff! Came here the other night and had a great time. The beer was a good range and great taste, the decor and atmosphere are all that are expected of a traditional English pub. Thanks for a great evening.
