a group of 3 of us stayed here for 2 nights as we had come to do the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge, the hotel was easy to find, staff were very warm and friendly, the food was very nice, especially the full English, we stayed in 2 rooms, double room was no.1 and the twin was no.3, room 1 was... More

Me and three buddies have stopped here a few times in the past for a fishing weekend at nearby Malham Tarn. The pub always provides a good night with fine beer and good food. The food particularly seems to have gone up a notch recently and we all really enjoyed our meals this time. Accommodation is basic but clean and... More

The double room we stayed in was ok but with a bit more effort could be so much better. My main gripe was the lighting - one dim ceiling light and two bedside lights. No way near being bright enough to read by and gave the room quite a dingy appearance. In addition the TV only worked on the evening... More

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights, what a delight! Barbra treated us like we were family, as well as the locals in the pub. As for our room it was nice and spacious, and after spending all evening in the pub it was a treat to be able to go upstairs and fall asleep. I will recommend Hearts... More

Stayed with niece and nephew in order to walk The Three Peaks - not I must say in "one-go" - we did it over 3 days during the Bank Holiday. Recommend The Hart's Head. Barbara and her staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast was more than adequate to set us up for the three hard walks. We ate in the... More

Called in for Sunday lunch on the way home from a camping trip in the Lake District, having enjoyed a meal here last september. We all plumped for the beef roast (kids were able to have a smaller portion) which was cooked to perfection then enjoyed the rhubarb and ginger crumble with custard. Good value at £9 for 2 courses... Five of us stayed here while doing the Way of the Roses bike ride. Secure cycle storage is provided in the Snooker Room. Our room was a good size, beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent. The breakfast was high quality and substantial and the restaurant / breakfast room is lovely to eat in. Very good value at £35... More

Went to watch the football and have a meal with the family. The landlady was really helpful, asked whether we wanted starters on the bar as the game had not quite finished. She also found us a table. Great beer and a decent local pub, would recommend.

Stayed here for one night over Easter, My husband and I and our friend visiting from Spain. I think we had been given emergency rooms in the house at the back, as they were nothing like the ones seen on the internet. As we were walking to our rooms, which was out the back and down a set of stairs... More

Leaving the personal comments aside ( which I believe anyway go against the spirit of Trip Advisor ) I would like to firstly like to say how very disappointed myself and my staff are by your review. It is always difficult when guests give no prior warning of their change in room requirements until arrival. Whilst I appreciate that illness... More
