This was a return visit for me. This stay I was joined by my 6 year old daughter, who is Thai, and wanted to introduce her to traditional Thai rural village life. We had a super time again. What we learnt during our stay you could never get from a guidebook. This is real Thailand away from the tourists. We... More

Stayed at Lamais with wife, kids (8 and 10) and mother in law for 3 nights. We had a great time there and both Lamai and Jimmy were so helpful and did everything to make us have a good and comfortable stay. Lamai showed us around in the little village and we visited the school. An other day, Lamais mother... More

Great to see Danish clients yet again .Sadly now after 16 yrs plus a few thousand Danish Family visits in that time ! No Danish Agency see our exclusive strict policy of only one client or one couple or a whole family for any one stay & date booked = financial rewarding enough to them to include us in their... This homestay is one of the best we have tried in our 2 month journey in Asia. I have been there 4 and a half years ago with a friend, and this time I went with my boyfriend, because I wanted for him to experience the place and family. The room and place is great, Lamais food is wonderful, but... More

THANKS AGAIN Eileen & family. we love to see returning clients ,reassures us we are doing a good job ! Glad you mentioned the safe bit Eileen .A terrible blow to Thai tourism overall , the totally unjustified orange warning issued by several nations .The reality being you are indeed safer here in Thailand than in a good 80% of... For the second time we visited Jimmy and Lamai at Lamai Homestay. This time with friends. Jimmy picked us up at the airport as agreed and Lamai served delicious food as always when we arrived. We did the tour to Phi Mai and the silk tour AND went digging for scorpions, spiders and frogs with Lamai and her mother. It... More

Just goes to prove the plumage of a place is all just a mere dress up, the expensive facade's mean very little to very few!! People actually prefer & appreciate the internal reality factor ,the experienced enjoyment, the exclusiveness, plus the warming affection shared in a visit to this our rural reality. All this in a relaxed, hygienic, comfortable European standards home plus... My holiday would not have been as good without this home stay experience and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone. Having someone to explain all the cultural differences, religious practices, politics, etc., was an unexpected bonus of the stay. Jimmy and Lamai can answer any question you throw at them - I asked a LOT! Lamai's home cooked food... More

Jimmy is a great story teller and tour leader. I got a good insight into Thai culture, delicious food, and a fantastic tour. I enjoyed being part of the extended family life in the Thai countryside. Couldn't have asked for more.

Thank you Both. Nice to see more U.K. clients and as always great to hear your stay was enjoyable. The bhat at present is still at an unfavourable exchange rate to all currencies.i hope in the very near future to see a significant reduction in it's value. A great way to start a holiday in Thailand, away from the bustle of Bangkok and into the quiet but intriguing countryside.
