Stopped one night.Friendly & easy going atmosphere, good service. Shabby chic, some will like and some won't !!. Great setting on river side and animals for the kids to enjoy, they're not trying to create a polished product here but more home spun and they do it really well. We'd certainly stay again, it feels like stopped with family.

We have just spent a delightful afternoon at the Grove Pantry Pub and Inn. A group of six of us arrived at about a quarter to twelve, entirely unsure whether we wanted coffee, a drink, or were ready for something to eat. The staff were very patient, offering helpful suggestions, while we muddled about deciding what to do. Having settled... More

Went as part of large group..Staff very friendly and good service.. Bar snacks excellent and reasonably priced. Lovely setting with plenty of outdoor space for nice days. Great atmosphere.. Big trunk of games to keep kids entertained indoors. Definitely recommend and will return.

From the moment we walked in we received a very warm welcome from Sam who sort us a drink after our 2hr drive then showed us to room which was very clean and very spacious with a very home from home feel, The pig pens and chickens gives it a very farmy feel and with the river along side makes... 2 night stay at Grove Ferry Inn: Good Points- On arrival (3 hours before the stated check-in time) we were warmly greeted by a really nice lady (called Amy I think) who said she would do her best to get the room ready earlier to accommodate us, which she did. We were allocated room 5, the "gooseberry" room which was... More

Hello, I feel I have to write this review to warn people as I had no idea, had seen mostly good reviews but couldn't see any pictures. It doesn't look like the pictures, it has become seriously run down since they were taken. We stayed in house of agnes in Canterbury town centre the night before which was so lovely,... More

Just returned from a two night break after Easter. PLUS side was the lovely setting overlooking river Stour. MINUS sides: four poster bed with no drapes! 2 coat hangers on hooks on wall but no wardrobe. Requested extra pillow but was told that there were none available so given a bath towel to prop the one pillow up. Waited 45... More

My partner and I booked for a last minute getaway and what a fantastic choice! Lovely, quirky hotel. A very, calm, friendly relaxed atmosphere. The staff where great, they couldn't do enough for you, very accommodating and competent! Our room was perfect, clean and tidy. The dinner and breakfast was great. So an all round great little hotel that I... More

We had lunch here today, we were very lucky to get a table as they were so busy and lots of the tables were booked, so I would advise booking first to avoid disappointment. Very friendly, welcoming pub, all the staff seemed to be happy in their job. We were served very quickly and the food was superb, very tasty... More

I stumbled upon this place when out walking the Saxon Shore Way on a weekday from Minster to Herne Bay. There was no need for a detour as the path runs alongside the pub which sits on the Great Stour River. The exterior is really impressive - a gorgeous Georgian frontage and inside has been tastefully decorated with a nod... More
