I stumbled upon this place when out walking the Saxon Shore Way on a weekday from Minster to Herne Bay. There was no need for a detour as the path runs alongside the pub which sits on the Great Stour River. The exterior is really impressive - a gorgeous Georgian frontage and inside has been tastefully decorated with a nod... More

Had a wonderful stay at this homely and quirky pantry pub. The spot oozes fun and relaxation in an idyllic spot. The staff all seem to be one big family who are more than happy to help. We arrived hours early for our stay so stopped for lunch. the sandwiches looked great and arrived in wooden boxes with fries. I... More

Firstly, I have used this Pub before, over a 20 year period. I have always enjoyed the ambience, location and food and it is popular. It seems to have changed hands and in my opinion, I agree with a previous reviewer whereby it is 'marmitey'.It seems to have changed hands and I am not fond of the style, pricing and... More

We have just returned from a weekend at The Grove Pantry Pub & Inn. An absolute FIND! Total treat from every aspect. Hugely friendly and courteous welcome - genuine and professional. The décor is a delight. Something to read in every corner, amusing and informative. Our lunch was superb and yes, even the menu is written daily with comments that... More

We booked this Hotel for a four night stay for our 47th Wedding Anniversary treat. What a quaint, quirky Hotel. We were greeted warmly and taken to our room by a very friendly Tamara. Yes we can all criticise things that are not up to our standard in Hotel rooms, but how many Hotels provide a coffee pot and fresh coffee,... More

A couple of mature years, we like a modicum of comfort when we go away but, unfortunately, The Grove is far too 'way out' for us! 'Shabby Chic' is not a look we like or feel we could spend any time trying to appreciate. We had a 'de luxe' room with shower. De Luxe, had no carpet (bare boards), no... More

We found this place by chance and found it to be a great little place for a nights stay.I thought it was called the Grove Ferry Inn, but might be wrong. With it being January it was obviously cold and wintry outside but the hotel was warm and cosy. It had a great rustic atmosphere and was apparently an old... More
