At a short 10 minutes drive from Canterbury, the Pilgrims Rest is an excellent place to stay to enjoy this part of rural Kent. The hotel has off road parking, and is conveniently situated in the centre of this small and attractive village. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a friendly owner who was attentive and helpful without... More

You have a tasty breakfast in the morning ( they cook all that you want) and silent , clean and big enough rooms. The position is perfect for visiting Canterbury and rest of Kent. Stayed here while in the area for a wedding. The property is welcoming and well appointed, the room (room 4) was a good size and well furnished . The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was high which meant showers were a delight. The breakfast was wonderful, especially the Pilgrims full English Breakfast, made with locally sourced ingredients. Gerrard,... More

We stayed here for two nights and loved it, quaint, clean, good breakfast and especially handy for parking, with Canterbury just a five minute straight from this little gem you'll find any noise from the road outside is soon forgotten. We stayed in the centre of Canterbury not long ago at 'The Pilgrims hotel' (be careful not to confuse this... More

Stayed for one night (room 6) with my wife and 18 month old while visiting Canterbury. In summary - quaint, 15 mins max from Canterbury, ample free parking at rear, very welcoming and accommodating owner, clean spacious and comfortable en-suite room, good selection of cereals and tasty cooked breakfast to order. Just for balance, very minor point the TV was... More

Stayed here for four nights, car park is to the rear but be careful as three cars reversed into the little wall whilst we were there. Was welcomed warmly and showed to our room, run by a very nice couple who were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was lovely with choice of cereals and fresh fruit, two... More

We stayed for two nights as a family, in two rooms. The front of the house dates back to 1550, but the rooms are at the back, which is a modern extension. The rooms are simply decorated and furnished with solid oak furniture. The breakfast has everything - fresh fruit salad, yogurt, choice of cereals, fresh fruit juice, toast with... More

Great little b and b, in the countryside yet only a short trip on the bus from canterbury. We arrived on Sunday and received a lovely welcome. We asked if we could order a take away but of course there is a no food in the rooms policy - Gerald was more then happy for us to have our food... More
