Stayed one night Sat 6 December. Beautiful old building (dating back to 1550), rooms large and exceptionally clean, beds very comfortable. Wonderful breakfast on Sunday morning, cooked exactly to our liking. Wonderful location for visiting Canterbury (approx. 4 miles away)

We picked the Pilgrims Rest as a weekend away to explore Canterbury and boy did we choose the right place. Far enough from deepest darkest Essex to ensure it felt like we were 'away' but without a long, boring and tiring drive. We arrived earlier then our booking in time, but when I called to confirm I could leave the... More

A real delight, spotless, well appointed and comfortable with adequate parking and its own bar. Breakfast which included home made jam and marmalade was first class with a wonderful and flexible choice. Ideally situated for touring Kent or an overnight on the way to the tunnel or ferry. The fact that a good evening meal can be found at the... More

At a short 10 minutes drive from Canterbury, the Pilgrims Rest is an excellent place to stay to enjoy this part of rural Kent. The hotel has off road parking, and is conveniently situated in the centre of this small and attractive village. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a friendly owner who was attentive and helpful without... More

Stayed here while in the area for a wedding. The property is welcoming and well appointed, the room (room 4) was a good size and well furnished . The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was high which meant showers were a delight. The breakfast was wonderful, especially the Pilgrims full English Breakfast, made with locally sourced ingredients. Gerrard,... More

We stayed here for two nights and loved it, quaint, clean, good breakfast and especially handy for parking, with Canterbury just a five minute straight from this little gem you'll find any noise from the road outside is soon forgotten. We stayed in the centre of Canterbury not long ago at 'The Pilgrims hotel' (be careful not to confuse this... More

Stayed for one night (room 6) with my wife and 18 month old while visiting Canterbury. In summary - quaint, 15 mins max from Canterbury, ample free parking at rear, very welcoming and accommodating owner, clean spacious and comfortable en-suite room, good selection of cereals and tasty cooked breakfast to order. Just for balance, very minor point the TV was... More
