My friend and I fancied a quick getaway from London, somewhere easily accessible and yet with a feel that we were a long way away from the hustle and bustle of town. Homelea really fitted the bill, set in some beautiful countryside with lots of fresh air. We were welcomed in a really friendly way and appreciated the little touches... More

We booked the B&B as we were attending a party in Canterbury cricket ground. Before we arrived Fiona sent a detailed email of house location, policies and nearby attractions we may find interesting, we did use one of the pubs recommended 'the Chapter Arms' and were very impressed. When we arrived at this impressive property, with a paddock and fields... More

Fiona and Mark were the perfect hosts, giving advice on local amenities and places to visit, nothing was too much trouble we felt really at home. We stayed in the School Room which is a huge en suite room with a sitting area and great views through the picture windows over the lakes and the North Downs. The room was... More

The hosts were pleasant and very kindly dropped us off the morning after to collect our car from the village. The bedroom and ensuite was large and spotless. The bed was very large and comfortable with a nice firm mattress too. We felt that the cost of £96 for the night plus £20 for breakfast was on the high side.... More

Thank you for your comments and so pleased that you found our rooms to be spotlessly clean and welcoming. A lot of effort and pride is put into running Homelea and we like to create the feel of "home from home". We give the option of room only and then breakfast on top as some people choose not to have... More

My third stay at this B&B. As expected, I found it to be to the same very high standard as previously experienced. Spotlessly clean. Excellent room with modern facilities. Comfortable bed. Modern, multi channel TV. Excellent bathroom with modern shower. Very friendly owners and good breakfast, with flexible options. The proprietors go out of their way to make you welcome.

We had the school room for a week, which is a large room with a large en-suite and a large window with a great view as well as a large balcony. Fiona and Mark are welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were really good and it was all capped of with brilliant sunshine all week. We booked... More

We had a really pleasant stay at Homelea. Fiona and Mark were really nice. Picking us up and dropping us off at the train station and even giving us a lift into Canterbury with them. They also recommended some great pubs in the local area which served great food. If you do stay here you should visit The Chapter Arms... More

Thank you for your comments, however everything in life is relative to ones situation. I feel that we provide great service, great hospitality, great food and great rooms and beautiful views of the countryside out the back. All rooms have private balconies except the Heron Room, We have secondary glazing to cut down any noise however if someone lives in... More

I'm not meant to, but I can't help it, what the other folk said is true! On arrival at Chilham Fiona collected us from the train station,we were made to feel very welcome, all the local stuff was explained to us, we were aloud to come and go as we wanted which was great as we didn't have a car.... Stayed here for three nights and would gladly have stayed longer. The accommodation was excellent in every way and generously proportioned. We had the Kingfisher room which had a balcony off the bathroom (with a couple of chairs) and a lovely view. The breakfast was excellent quality with lots of choice. In addition to all of this, its best asset... More
