We visited this hotel as a stopover on our way to the tunnel. It is vary conveniently placed. The hotel is clean and very good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. The setting in woodland is pleasant and it is very convenient for a visit to canterbury

We found this the friendliest Travel lodge. They went out of their way to help us. It was clean and in lovely woodlands. We were anxious as we had read bad accounts of the lodge. I can honestly say it was the best Travel lodge I have stayed in - thank you staff for making such an effort.

We booked ahead online for this overnight stop - made it plain on the booking that wanted a double bed. In the dark we struggled to find the entrance to the Lodge - hidden from view in a forest. We arrived late evening to be told that they were overbooked (the most recent bookings being made after ours) and as... More

Stayed here for one night, it was one night too many. It was absolutely filthy, disgusting stains all over the couch that was to be the kids bed for the night, food smeared on the walls, curtains hanging off a broken window (it didn't close let alone lock) covered in mould, the smell of damp was overwhelming that's despite no... Absolutely awful, rooms dirty, tired, paint peeling, old fashioned tv's with very bad picture, bed linen and towels very thin, well past there sell by date. We would never stay at a Travelodge again, letting them get into this state is unbelieveable. I would just like to add that the Reception staff were really nice and friendly and very helpful... More

A plain and simple place with very pleasant staff provided me with a clean, comfortable room for the night before my cross channel ferry and the same good service on my return. Although situated just off the busy A2 Dover road it is a quiet relaxing spot. OK it is room only and the nearest place for dinner is a... More

I was really expecting the worst when I saw the bad comments on Trip Adviser and almost made a last minute change but this hotel gives you just what you need and there really was nothing wrong with it! Of course, if you're looking for luxury this isn't it - but it's good quality/price

The service was the only good thing about our stay! We had a nice welcome by the safe and they were helpful. The room was extremely basic, some sort of liquid on the wall?! Heater wasn't good, either boiling hot or freezing cold, windows were broken and so was the shower. Hot water... Yes! But so boiling hot you'd need... More

Most basic of accommodation cheap....but just expect a bed. Bit spooky to get to in the dark and wet. Carpark didnt feel safe. Yes it down the path into the forest....but kept us dry and shower worked in the morn...so better than first expected....oh and all car windows were still there the next morning too.
