We stayed here for a single night during June. Typical english manor house style hotel. A bit run down, but full of character. The double room we had was small but nicely decorated. The double bed was particularly narrow 1.4 mtr. The bathroom was similarly small. The staff was friendly and helpful with the luggage. You can enjoy a nice... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate our birthdays. Lovely old hotel and grounds. Really helpful staff and breakfast was fantastic. Our room was a good size, everything we needed. Free wifi too. Cleaned every day to a high standard. Location brilliant. In the country yet only a 5 minute drive to the nearest park and... More

A lovely older hotel which still needs a little work to be done but very clean and a very comfortable room. Impressive grounds The staff are a joy and could not be more helpful. The meals were very good. Well priced.

I was here on business and used one of the conference rooms, the drive and view on arrival was very pretty with wild flowers, garden statues and a good sized car park. The staff were helpful and the room was a good size and well proportioned for a long meeting. My only disappointment was lunch, beautifully made sandwiches appeared, nicely... More

When you arrive at Howfield Manor, especially when arriving from London, you immediately enjoy this country atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and cares for your comfort, even if you arrive just during dinner time, as we did! Breakfast is good, and served in a nice room. Our bedroom was cosy and comfortable. It really worth being a bit arcs... More

My fiancé and I booked this hotel through Booking.Com to celebrate our first anniversary. We were greeted upon arrival by a lovely member of staff who showed us to our room and explained the closing times of the bar and restaurant etc. Our room itself, the four poster bed room, was delightful and authentic. The room was spacious and clean... More

We stayed here for four nights after booking with Expedia. We had requested a room in a quiet location, we were given room 11 which we found out on departure is their bridal suite, which was very apt as we were staying to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and the weather was very... More

The décor is somewhat tired and dated which is a shame for such a lovely hotel. That aside, we had a lovely one night stay in a room with a four poster bed. My alarm bells started ringing again when we went down to dinner. We were advised this was a very popular restaurant and to be sure to book... More

A 2 night stay to enable a visit to the Theatre in nearby Canterbury. With the original building dating back to the 12th century and it's location in 'The Garden of England' adjacent to historical Canterbury (Cathedral and Chaucer) - the hotel is a must for those who like old. Our room (#2) was charming , with a reputation for... More
