Stayed for 3 nights in August 2014. We are regulars to Overstrand so know the pub and restaurant well and this definitely 4-5 star's. The staff etc are all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was always good and plenty of it. However the rooms seem a little neglected and the standard of cleaning in the rooms leaves something to be desired.... More

We found that the Cromer area was not blessed with gourmet food, mostly average to good pub grub. The White Horse is a good village pub with a big garden, lots of kids on the bouncy castle, excellent beer. The food here was more expensive than other pubs but not excessive prices, would have got 5 stars but we found... More

Really enjoyed our stay here breakfast was brilliant - home made bread was lovely I took a loaf home - the hotel has a great atmosphere with warm and friendly staff and didn't need to leave the hotel to eat as the menu is for all tastes and food is gorgeous. Lovely that it is only a stones throw from... More

I stayed here with my partner and 2 year old daughter looking for a short break in Norfolk. I don't normally stay in b+b but after stopping here in the past for lunch we decided to come back. I found the pub and b+b great value for money and a great location in Norfolk. I'm normally pretty fussy when it... More

This hotel was a mixture of good and bad... Welcome was friendly and it was possible to park by the pub. The room was small, the bed absolutely fine for one, and very comfortable, I do not see how two could have slept in it as it was squashy and easy to slide off the side! Linen was good quality,... We stayed here 2 nights on our trip around Norfolk. First impressions were ok. Not the most customer friendly place but clean although compact & bijou room. Not double bed more 3/4. First night we ate in the restaurant and was obvious insufficient staff as took an age to get seated and served. Also they had ran out of so... More

We did not stay at this pub but did have dinner there recently. The menu is a confusing mish mash badly done. Several mains were not available. The flavour combinations are weird. Just don't think they quite get it. (pasta with sun dried tomatoes in a CREAMY sauce???). Just no. Eat next door at the Sea Marge Hotel.

Just back from a great weekend at this hotel, family run feel with outstanding staff, room was massive with a 6 foot wide bed which was extremely comfortable, a clean functional ensuite,, food in the hotel is lovely and the breakfast was smashing, excellent location 200 yards from beach and costal walks

We keep going back, and every time we get great food and great service. I tend to only write reviews elsewhere when we get poor food and service that I forget to write something when a place deserves it.... An excellent varied menu, reasonable prices and really really good food....just hope it doesn't get too busy!

We visited the White Horse with the family twice during the week we were in Norfolk. Good food, friendly staff - very accommodating. The bouncy castle and play area is a bonus. The menu offers a variety of dishes - the fish and chips are great. Recommended
