This country pub is very welcoming, especially with dogs, and has a wide range of yummy food choices. There were 12 of us and all the meals were spot on, the cheesecake was very tasty! The staff were lovely and even the chef came out to talk to us! Thanks for a lovely meal.

Out of the way country pub, warm welcome, good choice of menu, very good service. Even the chef comes out to talk to you (he is from Essex ) big portions cooked excellently (liver/bacon looked lovely wish I had plcked that. Only downside the chef goes home 8.30pm. 2 courses bootle wine for 2 £60. Will definitely recommend and return.

Very warm welcome at this local pub and Restaurant. Food was excellent, service very good, 6 of us could not fault anything, it even had a good selection of real ales. Very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Cosy bar, good beer, friendly helpful staff, plentiful tasty food. We had Sunday lunch, and would happily go back to give the full menu a try another time. I wish I'd had room for pudding, they looked great.

They were happy accommodate my son who is a very fussy eater. A wide variety of pub foods and the pudding were very good as... More

Ate here earlier in the week after making a reservation same day. Food is delicious and the portions were huge. I had a steak and my wife had sausage and mash. Both excellent! Good value for money. Good range of beers and soft drinks. Owners son told me that the pub gets really busy towards the end of the week... More
