We went to Balai sa San Juan last December 29-30. It was a great place for family outing specially during that period. See below review: 1. Location: its just 3.5 hours. Easy to follow direction and map provided. 2. Price : Very competitive price of room for P3500 that can accomodate up to 6pax per room 3. Meals: nothing to... More

This resort has the best beach in Batangas, good customer service and great food. Very value for money. Beach is comparable to those in puerto galera. Very large resort area for the fishponds. Basic room amenities , complete toiletries, good airconditioning and lots of fans with hot water. Cost of overnight with 3 meals and 1 merienda is 2,250.

This is definitely a pet friendly resort. We came here with a our dogs (a labrador and a Lhasa Apso). The dogs and the girls had great time at the beach. The place is very spacious for walks and running. The resort have nipa huts the beach front wher you can sleep the whole afternoon and resort staff will approach... More

The place does live up to most parts of its slogan, "It's not just Sisid. Kain. Tulog. Kwento. There's a lot more you can do in Balai sa San Juan!": Plus: 1. Great value for budget price (and I mean really budget price): > Big bathroom with hot and cold shower, hooks, shelves > big A/C room with shelves, big... More

Had a chance to visit Balai sa Laiya a few years back before it moved to a new location in San Juan. Food and service is still quite good. But the former location definitely beats the new one. The motto kain tulog sisid was definitely there when we visited Balai sa Laiya. Food was great, our hut was right in... More

The place is a 3 and a half hour drive from Makati,Metro Manila, with rough roads leading to the exact location. Vast area of fish pens is present in the area . I think the place is still under construction and needs heavy funding. The swimming pool is decent enough, one portion has a colder water than the other. I've... More

Been here twice and both have been quiet and serene, which for some could read as boring. But the place lives up to its motto: kain, tulog, sisid (eat, sleep, swim). The food is good, not great, although they do have some great dishes. The whole food experience is just marred by the need to satisfy Manileños with stuff like... More

After years of going to Balai, Laiya I was surprised that they have moved to a different location in San juan. On the way we overlooked the small sign "Balai" on the road, we had to make a u-turn after 3 barangays. Luckily we've asked for directions from the locals there or we would have gone straight to laiya. We... More

The right landmark is Abung Bridge. Resort should change their signage with an UNMISTAKABLE arrow on where to turn. No bars nor TVs. Staff is well-trained. The resort should clean their beach regularly.

We just left Balai Sa San Juan yesterday and our stay was Great. We are a group of 2 families and booked 2 rooms. When we arrive last Tuesday, we were greeted by one of the caretaker and showed us to our respective rooms. The room is huge with 2 double size and 1 single bed. Our lunch is waiting... More
