We stayed for one night with our 3 year old daughter and our elderly dog. Stayed at the indulgence room which was beautiful and very peaceful. Very friendly staff and excellent hotel for children and dogs. Breakfast was good. We also had a diner which was good but maybe a bit pricey. Would definitely recommend this lovely inn in a... More

We visited the White Buck on Friday evening at around 8pm. It is the first time since the re-furb and I must say it is very much improved. What wasn't so good was the service and availability. Our waitress had to return to us 3 times due to unavailability and when we eventually did place a successful order they got... More

When we pulled up it looked so promising. Great setting, nice area to eat outside and the inside was equally nice. Menu looked good. However, we opted for the venison burger and the wild boar burger which were on the specials board. Both burgers were not homemade as you'd expect from a place like this, chips not great and the... Stayed for 2 nights. What a beautiful hotel, loads of little touches In the rooms make it very special, very quiet area small village shop area nearby, beware the bar prices are very expensive even more than London prices. Food is reasonable & very nice, daily specials etc. Staff very friendly.

My girlfriend and I stayed just the Sat night & I paid £125 (no cancellation) for their middle 'class' room. We stayed in Knightswood No.16 but it was beside the toilets near the front entrance, luckily the pub was fairly quiet. The room was a decent size, nice big bathroom with a great shower. Huge bed (2 singles pushed together,... More

We stayed in the 'Keepers' room - was a really lovely room, cosy feel, with a gigantic bed!! Staff great at the White Buck, especially Tony :). Breakfast pricy at £10 per person, but worth that little extra. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Will book again

The White Buck is a hidden treasure tucked away from the bustling village centre. We enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration with attentive service for Sunday lunch. Recommend the rib of beef. Good children's menu. Gorgeous garden with stunning rhododendrons and a trim tram trail play area for the children. We are going back in July as everyone enjoyed it so... More

Nice and cozy place. Room a bit small but we were in the cheapest one and ok for one night. Beautiful interior design and details. Very good quality breakfast and staff helpful. Strongly recommended for a romantic getaway week end in the forest.

My partner and I went here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We went to the bar and ordered our drinks and decided to sit outside as it wasn't too busy and it was a nice day. The menu was ok, a choice of sandwiches or nibbles for lunch which was fine for us. I had a ham and cheese... More

Firstly, I must caveat this by saying that no-one put a gun to my head and forced me to pay the price I did...but when I booked (room only) for myself, my wife (and the dog) for a wedding anniversary, and paid £160...I was expecting more than what I got. £160. I still can't believe I paid it! When we... More
