We ate in here most days for either our main meal and/or breakfast, the staff were very friendly and the meals most enjoyable and at a reasonable price with a wide range of vegetarian options which was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt very welcome which added even more to our enjoyment of a fantastic holiday

A very busy new forest pub with a very pleasant menu. 1/2 chicken and chips and a couple of Hunters chicken dishes. All cooked well although the wait was around 45 minutes. A bit pricey but a good time had by all.

The location is great and the pub garden is also nicely situated. We could see the horses from our table and a few came upto the fence which was a nice touch. The food however is just awful. It's clearly microwaved, and is just tasteless crap. It's such a Shame because the pub could have so much potential, but we... More

We have been visiting Burley every year for Seven years and always eat at The Queens Head however this year the food, when it finally came out after 45 minutes was over cooked, pasta was burnt, (how can you burn pasta) even the chips were rock hard, we were offered free desserts but refused, eating or trying to eat the... I was astonished by the total lack of customer service provided by the bar staff today. When asking how far the church was as we were attending a funeral, the member of staff had no interest in helping and just replied with 'what church, I've no idea I just work here'. Another member of the party just received a shrug... More

We had been to th Queens Head before and had been thrilled to find that it had a vegetarian and vegan menu. On our last visit, however, one of the meals had to be returned twice as they had burned the pasta under the grill. There was a problem with all 3 main courses we ordered. Maybe the meat eaters... We arrived early on a Saturday evening and had no difficulty getting a table for four. Service was good to start with but then came a little muddled though still friendly enough. The menu offers pretty standard pub fare. Nothing much to complain about the adult meals. However, we ordered an older child's meal (they also have a menu for... More

Upon visiting Burley today (19.4.14), we thought we would stop for a bite to eat at the Queen's Head. Looking around we could see it was going to be busy but managed to find a table outside in the sun (when it eventually came out from behind the clouds).Desperate for food, my partner and I decided to go for the... Just been out on a lovely sunny Easter outing to Burley and went into the Queen's Head for a quick lunch. Quick it was not, waited for one hour and ten minutes for the food to arrive. The menu is large and varied so I chose the fish and chips, my wife had a duck and hoisin sauce ciabatta. My... More

We had a very enjoyable meal here after a long cycle ride on Tuesday. The assistant manager ,a young ,very personable man made us very welcome and did an amazing job serving, cleaning tables, chatting to customers etc. There were large quality candles burning on each table which made a lovely ambiance. The choices were very good and we enjoyed our... More
