This cottage was delightful in every way. It felt as though one was stepping back in time as it was in a peaceful area, the cottage itself was so attractive and the hosts very welcoming. The New Forest is a beautiful part of England made more so by the roaming horses which are seen everywhere. I would recommend this place... More

A warm welcome, with tea and cake still warm from the oven. Very comfortable room, although shower (over bath) not great. Very good breakfasts (homemade bread, jam). Great location, interesting village and good local walking (& cycling looked good)

The whole experience was Amazing, we arrived to A bottle of Prosecco, some flowers and a card as we had just got married the weekend before. The food is delicious, Rooms are so clean and comfy. Felt so welcome and enjoyed every minute of being there.

What a welcoming lovely little b&b. Fantastic location in a lovely little village. The house it self was just lovely and we felt so welcome we didn't want to leave. Breakfast the next morning was so lovely with a great selection of homemade food bread and jams. Highly recommend and we will be going back!

I generally do not like staying in B&Bs, but this place was a standout exception. The food was incredible, the bed (in the 4-poster room, upstairs) was divine, the hosts gracious, and the resident dogs were the cherry on top! I really felt like this was my house; no pressure to clear out by 10AM or whenever; in fact, one... More

So glad I booked the twin room at this B&B. We checked in and were shown our beautiful, well equipped room and offered tea and cakes in the lounge by the owner John. There was also a beautiful garden we could use too. The beds were most comfortable and the room accessorised beautifully with tea/coffee facilities, bathroom smellies and a... More

This was the first time myself and partner had visited the New Forest and chose the B&B mainly due to the good tripadvisor reviews. What a great decision. John and Janet were great hosts and recommended things to do in the area and good places to eat. The cottage is in an excellent location and is picture postcard. Best of... More

We spent 2 nights at this very pleasant cottage located very close to the centre of Burley. The cottage is set in a quiet location and has nice gardens and ample parking for guests. We were greeted by the owners, John & Janet and within minutes were sitting in the garden enjoying tea and cakes. We stayed in room 1... More

We spent a 3 night stay at Wayside Cottage over the August bank holiday weekend (we had intended only staying 2 nights but there was a minimum 3 night stay that weekend). Having read the other reviews, we were expecting great things, however were disappointed for a number of reasons: 1) Despite having booked a family room for ourselves and... More

We spent 3 nights at Wayside Cottage and had a lovely time. We were warmly greeted by Janet & John with tea and delicious homemade cake. We booked the Tosca twin room which was spacious and well equipped. lovely view of the gardens and bee hives. The beds were heavenly, made getting up in the morning very difficult. I stayed... More
