RESTAURANT ONLY REVIEW We dined at this wonderful place last Saturday and the food was fantastic! We were in a dilemma between the specials board (bizarrely only displayed in the bar) and the main menu. A clever little blackboard map in the bar indicates the the origin of the ingredients underlining the local sourcing of the main components (the furthest... More

We spent a wonderful 2 nights here for a BIG Birthday. We were given such friendly professional helpful service, and the room was great. As for the food... well to be told that as we had booked B&B & Evening meal we could have anything on the menu! I just so happen to love oysters :) Bliss. I love the... More

Horrid. Cut arm on side of bath, toilet didnt flush, bed was broke, left after one night of two booked, didnt complain as was too scared as lone female traveller, looked so nice when got there. Food was below average too and cold

What a shame we weren't afforded the opportunity to put these small matters right. The 100% female staff will be most surprised to hear that you felt you were unable to speak to them with regards to your observations 'especially' as you were a lone female traveler. We upgraded you to a recently renovated double room, extra large, light and... More

Very comfortable room in terraced cottage next to inn. Evening meal was delicious as was breakfast. Mostly local produce and some produced at the inn itself. Good range of choices. Friendly helpful service. We'll be back.

Praying that we can return very soon A two night, dinner bed and breakfast mid week stay with friends provided us with a fantastic introduction to a previously unknown county, Rutlandshire, and the wonderful meals prepared using truly local produce. It seemed from the map and photographs of suppliers and partners that they are almost all located within 10 miles... More

We stayed for 2 nights on the dbb deal and were very impressed, dinner was great - smoked fish and meat were arrest - breakfast good. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Good for visiting Rutland or for escaping the M1 or A1. Note is definitively in the countryside and remote, though the house chickens did not disturb. Excitement was... More

We had a day out in Rutland on Sunday but had not booked lunch as we didn't know how long we would be at a local village fayre. One of the stall holders recommended this inn & restaurant so we call to see if they had a table available - luckily they did. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and... More

We stayed with two of our oldest friends for Friday and Saturday night for two days cycling around Rutland. Very welcoming when we made our booking arrangements and we were wonderfully looked after from the moment we arrived. Excellent rooms and immediately made to feel at home in a very characterful country pub environment. Restaurant was outstanding whether bar snacks,... More

Just returned after a wonderful break in Rutland staying at the Kings Arms, Wing. Beautiful countryside, village and plenty to see and do. The Kings arms accommodation was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for the warm and friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable and roomy and the food is exquisite. Can heartily recommend the Caesar Salad, I... More
