it's the detail that makes a good holiday, and Margaret certainly pays attention to this. The whole experience needs to be enjoyed, from the stunning rooms, to the excellent food and through to the personal service, Margaret has everything covered. See you soon Margaret.

I can only agree with the other comments about Margaret and Englewood Lodge. From the moment she met us at the car to when she waved us goodbye nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts and evening meals were all excellent , well cooked and beautifully presented. The house itself is an absolute credit to Margaret by far the best... More

Margaret, the host, is a treasure. Nothing is too much trouble and nobody works harder to make the experience for the guests enjoyable. The food is first class and the breakfasts are a wonderful way to start the day. The bedrooms are really good and have been updated frequently, with a very good selection of toiletries, new bathrobes and slippers.... More

Beautiful room, great views, lovely breakfast and a perfect hostess, I can only echo the comments made by previous guests. I really enjoyed my two nights at the Lodge, having stayed many times on the IOM this is far better than any of the hotels I've stayed in and will certainly be back.

If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Isle of Man, you could do no better than to stay with Margret Mc Ewan. She is the perfect host, and Englewood Lodge the perfect place to stay. Englewood Lodge is not a Hotel, it's so much better, it's a B&B +++. We would quite happily atay there... More

Having just spent 3 nights here, we found that the accommodation was perfect for us, situated just outside Douglas it was an easy drive into town. The lounge area was very comfortable with tea and coffee on tap all day with the added bonus of Margarets Carrot cake on offer. Our bedroom was large with plenty of wardrobes (even a... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at Englewood Lodge in mid September 2014. Our room - front-facing overlooking Douglas Bay - was extremely spacious and beautifully appointed with a positively luxurious bathroom. Margaret is a remarkable hostess - she manages the running of the Lodge to an exceptionally high standard all by herself and serves superb... More

My wife and I have just returned from spending a week at this wonderful B&B. Our hostess, Margaret, never stopped working from the moment she welcomed us until we departed. Her single minded goal was to do everything she could to make her guests happy - nothing seemed to be too much trouble Our room, the rear facing twin, was... More
