Just returned from a week in 'Wren' with my husband an 23-month-old daughter. Nettlecombe farm is in a lovely spot and has great outdoor facilities for an active toddler. The morning feeding tours were a highlight of the visit. The farm is in easy reach of IoW attractions but you probably do need a car to get around.

We spent a lovely week here in May 2015. The farm is a very nice & quiet place to stay. We were in 'Oats', which was fine for a a couple and one child. Nicely laid-out apartment, although the bathroom is a little pokey, but on the whole very good, with enough space to enjoy lounging around. But the really... More

Having visited Nettlecombe Farm as a child, we knew that when we wanted to plan a trip to the Isle of Wight with our own young family, it was going to be the perfect spot. The setting in the middle of beautiful countryside and farmyard on your doorstep is truly magical. You really do feel like you can appreciate the... More

Gorgeous stay with my best pal in Forge Cottage, at the lovely Nettlecombe Farm, as part of a yoga weekend run by Laura Gate-Eastley and Carol McCartney. The farm has a bespoke yoga studio, as well as glorious surrounding fields for morning walks - and I want to return with my family and sample the local fishing lake too! Forge... More

Having spent the weekend back at Nettlecombe farm with our 9 and 13 year olds, it was yet another wonderful experience. Pristine clean cottage with all you could need or want in self catering accommodation. The children go straight to play on the climbing frame, kick a ball and see the animals all located on your doorstep. Fresh farm eggs... More

We went away for a long weekend and stayed in the Corner Cottage. It was so beautiful and spacious and clean. It was luxury. The owner was very helpful and lovely and the cottage had everything in it that you needed. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The garden was big for the children to play in... Cannot rate this place highly enough. fantastic trip away for the kids on the farm...the barn was extremely well equipped and comfortable for a rather large party of 10 and two dogs. One of the highlights of the stay apart from all the cute animals was the impromptu fishing match for the whole family with Auntie having her first try... More

This was our first visit to the Isle of Wight and it exceeded all expectations. Nettlecombe farm was recommended to us by some friends of ours, and it was as welcoming and comfortable as we had hoped. Despite being situated in a secluded area near Ventnor, there was good access to routes all around the island (not to mention a... More

Our family had booked out quite a few of the cottages as we were coming from all over for a family wedding. Accommodation was lovely, spacious bedrooms, ensuite in some, well equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer. John the farmer was fab, our 3 year old grandson loved seeing, feeding and meeting all the animals as did his 34 year... More

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay here at Nettlecombe. Its funny we often get told that the adults enjoy the feeding farm tours as much if not more that then kids! Whilst Scotland is a long way away we do really hope that you do come back and stay here again soon. Hope you enjoyed the wedding celebrations. Best... More

We had an excellent time on the Farm. Despite a small hiccup when booking, which was swiftly rectified and discount given due to the error, Nettcombe farm is wonderful. We stayed in Wheat, ideal for a family/large group. The accommodation was upstairs (with the entrance hall downstairs which was great for keeping buggies, shoes, coats, car top box etc) and... More
