An amazing place in such a great location ! Houses are very convenient with a lot of room. They're nicely made with a large part in wood. You feel completly immersed in the jungle with monkeys hanging around and crazy wildlife sounds. But yet with comfort and close to town. The beach is just nearby and perfect to swimm. Thank... More

This was our first trip to Costa Rica, We were looking for something other than a resort, something that was more natural and native, but not totally off the grid. We found it with Congo Bongo. It was amazing! Daan and his wife the owners were great. Every time we needed help with a driver, or bus information, or local... More

This was amazing, we were there for three nights wish we could have stayed longer. The beach was about a five minute jungle walk from our dream house, the beach itself was a great sandy beach that you could walk a long ways out, the other thing was that there was no one else on the beach very private. Loved... More

We spent a week over the holidays with 2 teenage boys. Congo Bongo exceeded our expectations. Highlight was definitely the howlers crossing right above our cabana in the morning. It's clean, comfortable and the hosts Daan and Marisol were very accommodating. I truly appreciated the amount of work and creativity that has gone into creating this magical place and keeping... This place is an exotic hide away with good service value. All houses have a cellphone on charge with pre programmet number to: The owner, doctors, local police, their free laundry and housekeeping etc. All houses have a fully equipped kitchen and free drinking water. The place is a jungle garden with small and thoughtful details everywhere. Decorated with carribian... More

Daan's place has all the amenities. We felt spoiled by the laundry service and access to the stretch of deserted beach. Compared to other places we stayed at near by, all our needs were taken care of here. At this place, we had the feeling that everything was thought of beforehand to make a good experience in a relatively isolated... More

You wIll have the complete jungle atmosphere, from the terasse we could watch agoutis, butterflys, birds and howler monkeys. The owners decorated the whole place with so many beautiful details and they are very nice and friendly people, that you feel welcomed from... More

In Manzanillo the weather is wonderful during the months of September and October. We visited again in late October. At this time of year the sea is calm so snorkrling is a favorite passtime along with kayaking. I recommend this time of year if you enjoy getting into a calm sea. As always, the gardens of Congo-Bongo were beautiful and... More

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay so much. The bungalow is very private, with a huge deck and outdoor kitchen. There was a sloth in the tree just in front of our porch, so we had some great evenings relaxing, watching and listening to nature. Felt very safe and there were not many mosquitos so we were happy with that.... More

What an amazing hide away tucked away in a peaceful little town minutes away from a private beach! Waking up to the soothing sounds of the howler monkeys, watching butterflies and hummingbirds fly through the house and lounging on hammocks as I breathed in the sweet rainforest scents made for a dreamlike vacation! I would highly recommend this relaxing space... More
