A beautiful park covered by big trees, flowers and plants. The birds are really fantastic, colourfull, howlingmonkees in the trees aswell as sloths, parrots and a lot of all kinds of animals known for the nature in Costa Rica! Close to a beautiful sandy beach, with diving opportunities and snorkling! A beautifull place with friendly hosts and fine services! Els... More

Our stay in Dream Deluxe House at Congo Bongo was unforgetable. Two weeks relaxation in a wonderful house in the middle of a mangrove forest. Fully equipt, clean, beautiful and with a personal touch. We didn't see or hear the neighbours, altough they where there. Every house as his own private spot. Within about 100 steps you are at nice... More

First time I visited Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo was 21 years ago, and today I still keep coming back to this area to experience the athmosphere I fell in love with a long time ago. Where do I stay when I'm returning .......at Congo-Bongo offcourse!! Why? It's the best place there is. Extreme intens nature experience, comfortable wooden houses surrounded... More

10 days of bliss. Just the two of us in one of the most perfect settings, no kidding! Highly suggest taking the white water rafting trip the day you are to arrive at Congo Bongo. Transportation from San Jose to white-water to Congo Bongo was the best way to go. You don't need a car, really. Bikes on the property... More

Last December i stayed with my wife in a jungle house in Manzanillo. If you want a real wildlife experience with a lot of comfort , Congo Bongo is the place to be. Friendly and helpfull staff and a beautifull well eguipped spacey house. Quiet, all kind of animals, almost privat beach, and the charming little village of Manazanillo. Absolutely a... More

We traveled to Costa Rica yet again in May. What a wonderful time of year to visit Congo-Bongo. We have stayed many times and it is always wonderful. When it comes time to leave we are always starting to plan another trip. I have seen other reviews where people complain about the dampness. Well, it is the jungle so what... More

This place is heaven on Earth. This place is amazing, awesome, and... a little damp! We're being funny, yes, but that was the fun of it! Pura vida for sure. We arrived at night and were all grins when Daan showed us our rainforest home for the first time that would be our shelter for the following seven nights. From... More

Let me start by saying I stay in places like this all the time, so my review is not a case of the shock of staying somewhere that isn't a 5 star hotel or outdoors or rustic. If the price tag is the top of your budget then this is a great place for you, but if you have more... More

Definitely need to know what to expect. Awesome jungle atmosphere with the wildlife, animals, jungle hikes, etc. We were here over New Years... Rained every night (4) for 12 hrs then periodically during the day. Stayed in the Root House which has a tin roof which magnifies all rain and noises...get a different house if you are not a deep...
