We could hardly stop taking photos even during our meetings because of the splendid views in all directions. Our team consisted of those who have helped build resorts in Maldives, and have worked in "six star" resorts elsewhere in the pHilippines so to some extent we had seen it all. The food, service and staff were as expected - good... More

If you aren't a diver, do not stay there. There's nothing to do, it's uncomfortable, dozens of stairs to climb up and down everyday, a poor restaurant and a lot of mosquitos. The villas don't have air-con, just a "placebo" fan - it spins so slow that you literally don't feel a thing. There's no phones in the villas, so... More

We stayed here as a group of five just after Christmas 2013. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The view from every room is spectacular. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. But we were most impressed by the food. We spent hours in the restaurant sampling the seafood, pastas and... More

I spent a week here around a year ago, relaxing and diving with Gunther. It's unbelievable to have that kind of pretty tropical paradise and all those huge 2nd WW Japanese wrecks underwater. Experienced and tech divers are also getting excellent value! Warmly recommended!

This is one of the prettiest resorts I have ever stayed in. The location is sweet, it is at at the tip of the island, so you can kayak around the surrounding beaches. Our room had the most glorious view. The staff are kind and attentive. My only two quibbles are that the restaurant is really overpriced (and not very... More

We actually stayed across the bay at Al Faro, but dived every day with Gunter and had a few meals at the restaurant. Wreck diving was our #1 reason for visiting Busuanga, and we weren't disappointed. Gunter runs a great operation. The rental equipment was well maintained & the dive masters & guides are fantastic. I would not hestitate to... More

If you are diving, this would be the best resort as one of the pioneers of diving in Coron dives and teaches out of this resort. He is the one who discovered Gunter's Cathedral. There are shipwrecks right at the mouth of the cove as well. Again, if you are diving in Coron, the best instructor Gunter is found in... More

We stayed 2 weeks in this resort and dive everyday. This was our 2nd trip to dive the coron wrecks and we stayed in coron town previously. We chose to stay in Puerto del Sol and dive with Discovery Divers this time for few reasons. Firstly it is the only dive center in this bay and the closest to the... More

Diving facility......good Hotel.......good Restaurant......poor   We stayed at Puerto del Sol for seven nights and our goal was to gain wreck diving experience and improve our tec diving skills with Discovery Divers. Gunter runs a well organized and clean dive shop. He blends his own gas, has 25 years experience in the area and is very knowledgable, and willing to... More

We had the opportunity to have dinner in this resort, situated in a lovely bay that includes several other hotels as well as a yacht club. The food was alright and the service was excellent. It can be reached from Coron town by sea or by land. They have excellent accommodations as well as a dive center which is important... More
