Four mates and myself had a really terrific weekend at the Taralga Hotel. We used it as a base for a bit of 4WD adventure in the Ambercrombie National Park. Mick the publican and all his great staff looked after us magnificently. The food was delicious and in country size proportions. The accommodation was homely, comfortable, clean and value for... On a motorcycle ride I was looking for value and comfort - the Taralga Hotel was just what I was looking for. From the moment I opened the front door to be enveloped by the warmth of the fire, to the cold beer from the taps, to the fantastic T Bone, hot showers and comfortable room - the Taralga Hotel... Hospitable staff for our touring motorcycle group. We had full run of the TV to watch the motoGP A basic pub stay with a great menu at good prices - the light meals are a challenge to finish. Beers are cold. The renovations and cleanliness is tops.

I am quite a regular user of this hotel. I enjoy the fact that you can stop in this town and have a HUGE plate of burger and chips and a schooner of beer in this clean, woman-friendly, hospitable pub. There are different dining areas in the pub, but I would recommend the beer garden.

I was with a group of friends on this trip. We experienced good old country hospitality of a by-gone era. Old Australia hotel, upstairs bedrooms include oil coil heater, with lots of cotton blankets and electric blanket. Shared bathrooms down the hall. On a cold winters night I was comfortable. Basic breakfast; cereal box or toast, instant coffee or tea.... More

I have stayed here about two years ago and found the accomodation amongst the best pub style accomodation. The rooms had been refurbished and were warm and clean. The food however was disappointing. Yesterday on a ride three of us dropped in for lunch. The new owners had definitely improved the kitchen and generous serves of fresh food were served... More

This was a two night get-to-gether to celebrate four friends' birthdays. We enjoyed the friendliness of the proprietors and locals around the log fires... very welcome considering the minus temperatures outside. This is an historic pub so should be viewed in this light. Don't expect 5 star accommodation. The floor creaks and the rooms are very basic with shared bathrooms... More

I stayed two nights at Taralga Hotel with a group of friends in four of the rooms. The owner and staff were very friendly and obliging. The accommodation is fairly cheap and it was very clean. There are shared bathrooms, two for women and one for men. They were fine except for torn flooring in one and no heating. The... More
