Enjoy a peaceful stay and a good breakfast at River Cottage in Burton-on-Lonsdale, that has a few shops and a friendly pub serving lunch and dinner. Request a room overlooking the river. The village is a short distance from a Southern Lake District gem, Kirkby Lonsdale, often missed in eagerness to get further into the Lake District. Kirkby Lonsdale is... More

Stayed here for a week, Elizabeth and Frank are both very friendly which made everything feel homely especially the home made biscuits that were put in the room everyday. Frank's breakfast was very good and filling which were enough to carry us through the day. Comfortable bed and clean; look out for the kingfisher on the river managed to see... More

Stayed 4 nights while doing the 3 Yorkshire Peaks. So glad we found this lovely B&B. Our room was perfect and we enjoyed the great breakfast before setting off into the hills. Superb hospitality in a wonderful setting. The village pub is wonderful with lovely staff and great reasonable meals. Can't wait to plan our next trip.

What a lovely cottage and surroundings really comfortable bed and a welcome bath after doing the three peaks challenge. We were made very welcome with our dogs and will definitely be returning for another weekend but not such a challenging one next time

We recently stayed with my wife & two children whilst my wife was doing the Yorkshire three peaks for charity. Elizabeth made us very welcome, we stayed in the family room which was massive. Breakfast was lovely in the morning, I cannot fault it in any way. Well worth a stay of you are in the area. Close to Settle... More

The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with superb en suites. Every little extra had been remembered which was appreciated after a day of walking. Following a peaceful & comfortable nights... More

What a wonderful stay we have had. Excellent family care from beginning to end. Hearty Breakfast. Peaceful River views. Amenities in the Village / Post Office/ Vg for cash. Evening and day meals on our walks and trips were well worth it and varied. Walks abound. Even without maps. Sits in the conservatory with tea and biscuits. MMM! Sleeps so... More

We had a very comfortable en-suite room with super views over the river. Everywhere was spotlessly clean with lots of little extras in the bathroom. Frank looked after us very well and cooked a superb breakfast. The village people were very friendly and the local pub was excellent for an evening meal.

Would have loved to stay longer (we had two nights). Frank and Liz couldn't have offered a warmer welcome, and a delicious breakfast! Every comfort is catered for in their comfortable rooms and well decorated rooms. The riverside setting is magical. Will definitely be one to return to.

This B&B is located right on the banks of a beautiful river. The room was clean and the on-suite was first class, with both a bath and separate shower. Breakfast was filling and the owners were very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone.
