We picked this from the website as suitable for couple of nights in this lovely area and everything worked out well from initial contact through the booking to arrival and departure. The house is located in a scenic area with the lovely Kent Estuary and Morecambe nearby. Ten minutes to the popular Leighton Moss Reserve and other attractions. The house... More

We have enjoyed staying at Challan Hall at the end of April this year. It was just an overnight stop on our way North, but we felt we would have loved to stay a lot longer ! As the owners of Challan Hall were unable to greet us in person upon arrival they had arranged being replaced by a wonderfully... More

Our double room was spacious and the bed very comfy. The food is top rate...we had a delicious dinner and the breakfast set you up well for the day ahead. Mike and Charlotte... More

This B&B is handy for Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, as well as the coast at Arnside and Silverdale. The Hall retains its spendour and has a beautiful garden. Country footpaths start from the Hall, including a Natural England bridleway to Hawes Water. We had the double room with ensuite which was very comfortable and quiet. We were offered the use... My husband and I arrived on 8 April for a 2 night stay. After a gruelling 6 hour journey we were warmly greeted with tea and delicious homemade banana cake in the lounge. The room has a beautiful scenic view complete with rare breed ponies last seen (by me) as a Lascaux prehistoric cave painting. What a welcome! Our hosts... More

My husband Bob and I visited for 2 nights at Easter weekend as we wanted to go to Leighton Moss which is only a short distance away. Our hosts were wonderful, very friendly and helpful and even made us tea and toasted hot cross buns on arrival. The breakfast was superb and the room very clean and comfortable. If you... More

The B&B is well-situated - we used it for a stopover on the way north to Scotland. Far better than a budget hotel in Carlisle or Preston, the drive from the M6 was about 15 min. It is also on the edge of the Lake District and would be a good base for exploring that area as well as the... More

I stayed at Challan hall some time ago, as a touring cyclist. However I remember quite clearly how well I was treated and how pleasant the experience. A nice country position as well. Highly reccommended.

Excellent place to stay. We enjoyed a short break with a couple of friends and did a bit of bird watching at nearby Leighton Moss. Challan Hall is a first class place to stay. We recommend taking up the dinner option which was as you may expect delicious.

We stayed for 3 nights at Challan Hall with our 2 children aged 4 & 2 years. On arrival we were very concerned that the house would not be child friendly as there were beautiful ornaments and tea cups on many surfaces, however I needn't have worried. Mike and Charlotte made us all extremely welcome and had gone to the... More
