With very little time to plan our home stay, two detailed conversations with Sarita (the daughter of the Divakar family) and after some quick research on the internet, me and my husband decided on staying at Kedakal Estate. The clincher was that the property had a swimming pool and our one year old loves playing in the water. Our uncle... More

Hi , Thank you for your feedback and appreciate your comments. It is very unfortunate to have a disappointed guest although I must say this is a first for us. Having read through your comments I am a bit surprised to read that you felt there wasn't enough transparency throughout our correspondence especially because being the owner and having taken... I went there over a year ago but nevertheless wanted to post this review because our experience was so good. My husband and I went there for our babymoon to enjoy our last lazy vacation together. The Kerala style house is beautiful with all its nooks and corners, the food is absolutely to die for, there are some really good... More

The homestay is located few kms past the Suntikoppa town, on the road towards Madikeri. Watch out for the Windflower Resort's billboard > a Forest Flower resort's billboard > a two floor small post office > first left turn after that. At the left turn there is a discreet board which reads KEDS. Its set amidst a 25 acre estate,... More

We (I, my wife and 4 year daughter) visited Coorg in Diwali vacation and stayed in 3 different homestays out of which our first hault was at Kedakal. This is one of the finest places I have ever stayed. It is a bungalow amidst lush green coffee plantation. The bungalow is very tastefully designed with a number of unique sit-outs... More

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary by spending 3 days and 3 nights at a wonderful homestay called Kedakkal Estate, in North Coorg. This amazing place is situated right in the middle of a huge coffee and pepper plantation and is run by this wonderful elderly couple. While Aunty was most helpful and caring, her home cooked meals are something... More

Its a late review but hope its still relevant. I visited this place in March 2012 with my wife. I should say that it is an awesome piece of property. I had booked Kedakkal after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and the place truly lived up to its reputation. A picturesque house in the middle of a coffee estate with a lovely swimming pool. Aunty Uma and Uncle Diwakar who own the estate made us feel at home -from giving us a tour of the estate to regalaing us with... More
