We stayed with Mr Egremont Lee and his (new) charming wife last weekend and had a really delightful time. The house sits on its own up a long drive in the middle of breathtakingly beautiful countryside and is full of oak panels, beams, stone floors...so much character and charm. Mr and Mrs Egrement Lee are laid back and convivial hosts... More

We were a party of four, aiming to walk this section of the Offa's Dyke path, new to the area and new to Middle Trewerne. It feels like you are visiting Mr Egremont-Lee at his home rather than staying in a b&b. With geese, chickens and guinea fowl following you around as you walk around the garden, we stayed in an africa-themed room with a window looking out on the shed where swallows flitted by as thick as flies. He booked us for dinner at... More

Middle Trewern is an absolutely beautiful 16th century long house in the most amazing setting on the edge of the Black Mountains. It's a privilege to stay in such an historic building, and to wake up to the best views imaginable. Antony is a great host, and cooked us a lovely breakfast on his aga. This is a fantastic place...
