Now had our 5th stay at the ascott hotel and we intend to continue to opt for this hotel.we have tried others in the local vicinity but this one has always resulted in the top of our preference. An immaculate building both inside and outside, friendly and amiable hosts greet you in this very clean and we'll decorated/furnished establishment. A short... More

We stayed a couple of nights to attend a wedding nearby. The decor was very nice and felt very homely, and the rooms were well appointed. However our bed was uncomfortable - it was lumpy and any movement that either of us made caused the bed to bounce around! We didn't spend so much time there, so the bed was... More

a clean and comfortable B&B with friendly and helpful staff, accommodation is at a realistic price and the breakfasts are excellent, some of the pictures in the public areas give historic views of the area

We stayed here as we were celebrating a friend's 50th birthday at a restaurant ten minutes walk from the hotel. The hosts were very warm and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend it and will be visiting it again.

This is an old converted house with some nice historical value. I chose this place because of it's proximity to a venue where I had a meeting. Before this I had only ever stayed in large hotels, never a B&B. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious my room was. It was very warm and comfortable. The bathroom was very... More

This is a small 18 room hotel, a £10 taxi ride from Manchester City Centre, bearing in mind that hotels in the city will charge about £16 a day to park. parking at this hotel is free. The first thing that struck me was how spotlessly clean the place is, full of interesting period furniture and tastefully decorated. We were... More

We have been using The Ascott Hotel now for almost 6 weeks, as a family member has been transferred from Scotland, to the local Salford Royal Infirmary. The location is perfect for exploring Manchester and also for those who are connected with the hospital in some way. The hotel itself oozes character and is very tastefully decorated. The rooms are... More

We were welcomed with open arms. The room was lovely and cosy and we left the heating on before we went out and when we got back it was lovely and warm. The breakfast was filling which lasted us until late afternoon. We will be staying again. A few things I would comment on would be the damp in bathroom... More
