We needed somewhere to stay with good links to the city centre, but that ideally also had parking. When possible we also prefer to support local businesses rather than big chain hotels and the Ascott fitted the bill on all counts. We arrived at a bad time of day, so traffic was very heavy and slow moving but once we... More

I received a very warm welcome at this hotel. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and provided me with good information about the area. She showed me to my room and made sure everything was OK. The hotel was quiet, and the room was comfortable and well equipped.

My wife and I stayed at the Ascott Hotel on 11th Dec 2015 as we needed a one night stay close to the city center. We picked the Ascott as it seemed perfect, and to our delight it was. We arrived at the hotel which is a beautiful building and we were made to feel very welcome from the start.... More

I spent one night at the Ascott while on business. This facility is marketed as a 4 star hotel. I am no expert on how hotels are rated by the likes of the AA, but I would not describe it as hotel. It is, however, a good quality bed and breakfast type facility, albeit with a reasonable number of rooms.... More

We stayed here after visiting the ideal living show at event city next to the Trafford centre. Lovely clean hotel. We had a massive room with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Great place to crash for the night. Breakfasts was amazing. I'd recommend the black pudding

Great 3 night stay in this lovely B&B type hotel. As others have said the hotel was very comfortable and extremely clean - our room was a good size and very nicely decorated with a quiet outlook onto a small patio area. The breakfast is excellent as it's freshly cooked to order, piping hot and with as much freshly made... More

We paid 75 for a superior double room with en suite and I was so happy with it. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated with a 50's shabby chic flavour, and a big, comfortable bed. The price includes a huge choice of breakfast items, or opt for the full English, and it was clear that no expense is spared on the food... More

I always stay at the Ascott whenever I am in Manchester. The staff are always welcoming and helpful, the rooms are well appointed, tastefully decorated and spotless. The breakfast is fantastic with a good choice and great coffee! Far superior to a lot of other places I've stayed. The location is great with parking and rail and tram links into... More
