We spent an excellent time with the hotel owner Mrs. Bonnie Birker, she took us around the beach, La Enea town and Guarare traditional sites, we also visited the Pollera makers, The Museum and we hab a wonderful Diablico Dance Presentation. The lodge is just like home away from home and there are a couple of nice restaurants walking distance... More

We were fortunate to be able to spend two weeks with Bonnie at Casa del Puerto...she knows Panama and of equal importance Panama knows her...we were welcomed into community homes to see the real life of Panama and Bonnie helped us plan great excursions across Panama. And of course we had the opportunity to sit on the veranda and watch... More

Wonderful hostess, great location, we stayed with Bonnie and Mandy for 4 nights in November, had an awesome time, Bonnie and Mandy took us to all the local attractions and villages.. We were treated as if we were long time friends. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time. We even got a quick visit from Santa Clause and his... More

Bonnie, the owner of the B&B, is a gracious hostess. She knows the area incredibly well and has relationships with all the locals for crats and local traditions. The rooms are clean and well kept. The back veranda looks at the sea and is great for resting and reading. The breakfasts are always more than enough and coffee is always... More

This was absolutely our favorite place to stay in Panama. Sadly we were only able to stay 2 nights as Bonnie, the owner, already had bookings. The appartment we stayed in had a beautiful new large bathroom, a well equiped kitchenette, good size bedroom and a large living room overlooking the beach with refreshing sea breezes coming through the screens.... Bonnie is absolutely fantastic! She is so passionate about her work in the community. She is extremely knowledgable about the traditions of Panamanian culture. If you are looking to learn about the pollera, the music, and other trademarks of the Azuero Peninsula, you NEED to go to Casa del Puerto. Peace Corps Volunteers, former Peace Corps Volunteers, and those not... More

Bonnie's B&B is like being in a small town in the Midwest of the U.S., but on a beach. Friendly town to walk around. Drive to Pedasí and on to Venao, a top surfing spot.

I love this place. The people of the area are wonderful and the owner, Bonnie Birker is SO very helpful and knowledgeable. She is an ex Peace-Corps worker who loved the area so much she dedcided to stay - The little place is off the beaten path with a large expanse of deserted beach and a great local flavour bar... We stayed at Casa del Puerto for 3 days in January, 2012. It was very relaxing with nice walks on the beach and plenty of hammocks. Owner Bonnie knows the area well and directed us to nearby restaurants for delicious seafood. She also helped us with a shopping trip to historic Las Tablas and took us to a friend's house... More

Great place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The coffee and breakfast is fresh and delicious. The owner, Bonnie Birker is very accomodating and a excellent resource for things to do in Panama. The property is beachfront. It is not a pretty beach; but still great to hang out in a hammock and read a good book.
