We came from Wales to hear about sheep - and left with a thousand wonderful memories. Hester and JP were magnificent hosts and JP's knowledge and unassuming enthusiasm were beyond parallel. There were 9 of us in our group, 2 of whom were sheep farmers and the half hour sheep shearing tour took well over an hour, what with comparing prices in Wales for livestock, fleeces etc - great fun. The fossil tour was captivating and fascinating - everybody was enthralled. JP's enthusiasm and Hester's hospitality made this a great visit. More

Stayed for a few nights on this perfectly situated farm, ideal for exploring the surrounding Karoo. On top of fantastic hosts, the accommodation and service is excellent, but the food alone is well worth the trip from Scotland. Already planning my return...! More

We made a quick overnight stop at Ganora farm and ony wish we had stayed for longer to take advantage of everything it had to offer. The rooms were beautifuly done and imaculately clean. We very miuh welcomed the oportunity of some home cooked dinner at the farm house, and had excellent food in lovely surroundings for a reasonable price.... More

The comfort of the accomodation is only bettered by the quality of the food. JP's passion for his fossils comes through clearly in his informative and hands on expeditions. Where else can you see fossils still embedded in the rock. Hester and JP run an extremely organised and efficient set-up. Thank you guys for a great weekend! More
