We had stayed at the Hacienda Cerritos 4 years ago and loved the ambiance enough to book 12 nights at the Cerritos Surf Colony this spring. The staff were friendly and helpful with what they had to work with. The units looked nice from the outside, but had really gone downhill once we got a closer look. Broken/missing screens, very... We spent 4 nights, was surprised by the great food, beautiful gardens and pool as well as the on sight restaurant. We love the location and hope it stays as quaint as it is. The studio was a comfortable size, but did need some maintenance. I appreciated the quirks, but a few inexpensive upgrades will bring us back.

We parked our camper in the RV lot at Cerritos Surf Colony for 8 days off and on. The RV lot is nothing to speak of and the showers they offer are quite far away but the rest of the experience was incredible! The staff were wonderful and made us part of the family. One bartender made a birthday cake... More

Thank you so much for writing this great review! It means so much to hear that our guests had a good time at Cerritos. We don't get too many people staying at the RV park, which is why it is fairly simple. But it sounds like that didn't really hurt your enjoyment of our resort. We hope to see you... More

Went with the family, we were looking for a Restaurant, and ended up at this hotel, the place is beautiful and by that, I mean the location, the beach, the ocean, the view is breathtaking, however I feel it's overpriced,$20 usd fro a day pass, and was given ripped towels, not only that but I was charge $20 us for... We're very sorry to hear that you were not 100% happy with your time at our resort. We hate to see people leave dissatisfied, however, your feedback does help us to improve. It is very difficult to work out the price of a day-pass, too cheap and we lose out of people staying at the resort, as well as making... More

Had a voucher to stay here. Even then, I feel I overpaid. There was nothing special about the accommodations, the service or the property. It was basically one step up from camping. Everything in the villas is cheap. From the conditioning shampoo, soap, plastic bowls, chipped plates, terribly dull knife, pots & pans, patio furniture, beds and fans. My voucher... More

We're sorry to hear that you had a less than perfect time at our resort. We are constantly working to improve our resort and feedback like this help us get to the specifics that need to be fixed. Four of us stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath casita. We enjoyed the large living room area and the full size kitchen. (Remember to bring paper towels for the kitchen and bottled water is recommended for drinking). The master bedroom had a beautiful ocean view and both bedrooms had full bathrooms. A smaller bathroom is on the first... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! It means a lot to us. You've written up a ton of great advice for potential guests, and hopefully they all see this review. I should emphasize something you touched on: only drink bottled water while staying anywhere in Mexico. More

We spent a week at Cerritos. It was relaxing without being boring, quiet without being maddening, the food was amazing (our waiters were very helpful at suggesting dishes for breakfast), Scott was a wonderful surfing teacher (our ages were 20's to 50's and we loved it), Teresa was a wealth of information regarding everything around the resort and hacienda as... We loved it here. So much more laid back than Cabo. We thought the drinks and food was reasonable. Beach activities. Remember they are still building up from the hurricane. No major bugs (it is mexico). This is not an all inclusive. Bring paper plates, cups, beach towels, a fan, water, and food. The villa we had was huge. Good... More

My trip in October was rescheduled due to Hurricane Odile, and I left Philadelphia at the end of a snowfall in mid-February. Was SO GLAD to land in sunny Cabo I had to stand on the tarmac for a minute to remind myself what warmth was. Wasn't expecting a beach front villa, having purchased a Groupon, and was completely blown... More

Stay in a clean and wonderful palapa right on the beach. Phenomenal surf spot. Listen to the surf all night. Beautiful starry hot tubbing! Insane sunsets! What more is there to say? That's why I keep coming back. Super romantic for couples, or go by yourself or with friends for surfing or fishing. This place is wonderful - do yourself... More
