My wife and I stayed at Rancho Pescadero in early January of this year. We adored it. This review won't be exhaustive--there are plenty of excellent reviews already that get the main points just right. I'd like to highlight some of the things that I particularly enjoyed: Service The staff at Rancho Pescadero is uniformly kind and helpful. We got... More

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in! My husband and I stayed here our first 3 nights of 10 in Baja, but wished it was the last 3 nights as nothing else could measure up to Rancho Pescadero. You can't help but relax immediately. Upon arrival, the host lead us to the bar and took our car keys... More

I had heard about this place so we drove from Todos Santos to check it out and enjoy the happy hour & sunset. We were escorted to a roof top area and told the resort was off limits to visitors and only for the use of the paying guests. We looked over the edge of the roof top to view... More

I believe it is standard practice for resorts to have areas specified for outside guests. For the safety and comfort of our overnight guests, we invite guests who are joining us for cocktails to visit our beautiful sunset deck which allows a stunning view of the beach, the migrating whales and the sunset. We try not to have too many... More

I booked this trip to for my fiance and I. I had proposed the night before our trip of 5 nights at the lovely Rancho Pescadero. We rented a car at the airport and drove about two hours to the resort. Upon arrival Karla took the keys to our car and escorted us down to the bar of the hotel.... More

We had friends recommend Rancho Pescadero to us after their incredible vacation and had to come here to have OUR vacation! Their pictures couldn't express the beauty of the resort and its locale. It is so much more breathtaking in person! Besides the physical beauty of the hotel and the beach and the ocean, the people are SO nice! From... More

After landing at the airport, driving though the madness that is Cabo San Lucas, with it's mega resorts, cruise ship parking lots, strip malls and American chain restaurants- It is hard to describe the feeling of driving up to Rancho Pescadero. It is like you have arrived at somebody's Mexican beach home- a home with two pools, a bar and... More

What is Rancho Pescadero? Aside from all the first-class amenities, it's almost a state of mind. It's the opposite of all the frenzied, "American Idol"-ized, short attention spanned, faux moments that assault us daily. Rancho Pescadero is Chet Baker, not Kenny G. It's the anti-Kardashian. It's blue water and blue sky, not Bluetooth. It's like the first time you watched... More

We went to the Rancho for a destination wedding and 10 minutes after arriving we felt as if we were visting family. The road from Cabo San Lucas is pretty treacherous (but the Rancho offers a shuttle if you do not feel like braving the drive) as it is under construction, but it is worth it! No televisions, little internet,... More

My wife and I went to Baja California Sur in November of 2010 for a four day weekend w/out kids. We found good reivews for the Rancho Pescadero in the NY Times Travel and after conferring with friends I have in the area we decided to make our weekend home there. The hotel was quite hard to find as we... More

There are enough positive reviews so I won't go on and on about all the good (and there is lots of it!). The rooms are even more beautiful in person, which is hard to believe since the pictures are amazing, and the resort was so clean, like sparkly, immaculate kind of clean. Things I would have to have known: Almost... More

Thanks so much for taking the time to give your great feedback about your time at the Ranch. One important resource for the information that you requested is the FAQ's section of our website - it has information about the road construction, the restaurant hours and local surf breaks as well as other valuable information. Good news - The road... More
